As far as I know, only the Tau can take Kroot as mercenaries. We treat them well  :) The standard Troops are the kroot Carnivore Squads, there are Fast Attack kroot hounds, and then for Heavy Support we have Krootoxen.

Kroot can be hired by any army but as far as i know the Orks are the only army that cant get them  ;)

Are they really available to everybody? The Tau codex says that "The Kroot...in return for the support of the Tau empire, supply large numbers of warriors as exclusive mercenaries". Did they change this already?  :'(

   Yeah, WD266 (it's the one with high elves on one side and the balrog on the other). The only armies that may not take kroot as mercenaries from that list are; Tau, Space Marines, Tyranids, Sisters of Battle, Necrons. You are also able to field the kroot as a seperate army. Be warned however, the entries in the WD article are not the same as the kroot entries in Codex: Tau

I'm creating a Kroot merc army and I haven't seen the kroot entry in Tau codex. Are they better or worse in a merc army?
