Yes, that is what he means. Weapo+weapo+bowerlbades= 3 weapons, sort of.

Sorry about that I should have been more clear...

Another setup is to take Riveblades instead of them, get 11 attacks, but have  a power weapon that can instant kill.

I was wondering myself actually about what to give my solitaire, at the mo I go for kiss and pistol, and power blades, which means with the kiss any wounds on a 6 will kill outright if they fail their save. Or if I go for riveblades which kills outright with no save.
What do others go for?

I personally like the Kiss route as  it give more options, but I have a superb riveblade conversion, so its really up to who you face.

I give mine kiss, pistol and powerblades, because then I can suit the charge to the foe. If I am fighting armour I hack into them, getting a few unsavable wounds per turn, or a lightly armoured foe with higher T or multiple wounds, the kiss serves me.

Riveblades are nearly always better for character killing with Hit and Fade, but be aware that you will now be helpless against the WL, for example.  Its an interesting choice that you must make.

Hmm, I'll experiment with it, at the moment I've been fighting thousand sons, damn webway invaders, and have found that I tend to use the power blades, but because they have two wounds all those sixes killing outright would be handy. and also I have only just noted that kisses kill outright on a 6, barring armour save, so maybe that info will help me kill the beslubberers, lol

If you face Thousand Sons then I recommend using the Riveblades as 1/2 of the wounds you inlict will now be instant kills, which means that you will essentially be killing 50% more even though you have 1 fewer attacks!

Yes you can take any two one-handed weapons on a single character, but only use one at a time, of course. You get +1A for the second weapon, naturally. However, you can't combine riveblades and powerblades, so if you get riveblades, powerblades and kiss you only get +1A when using the Riveblades (for the second handweapon; kiss) while +2A when you are using the kiss (for the second handweapon; riveblades, and another for the powerblades.)

Be aware that if you do that, you will lack any type of ranged attack.  For just 6 points, a Shuriken with Bio-Ammo can kill many people with its exploding feature and will allow you to potentially shoot down a light tank.

I think this is a valuable option, but if you are worried about your flexibility then go ahead with the Riveblades/Kiss.  Be aware, though, that often those multi wound creatures are T5 and from then on the Kiss is better IMHO.

The loss of a ranged attack was the problem I had with going for the riveblades+kiss option, but since I tend not to shoot with my solitaire anyway I was thinkin it wouldn't be too much of a hinderance. Also I'd normally give my solitaire a fusion pistol, so he can blow up a tank then attack the guys inside.

Never give your solitaire anything more than a SP, as +6 attacks is better than +1 D6 for the AP...You try it, I think if you do the math then its better to do that...:)
