@Dread: No worries and glad you stopped by! Yeah - I bought the War Cry box for myself  :). Still waiting to see what comes in the Christmas cache!

Nice to hear about your Necrons - can't wait to see the status on those!

Still tidying things up - got mainly the red and the green to continue working on, in addition to the wood and silver
Before doing some silver highlights on the metallics
And then the colonnade he is on comes next

The green is just the right shade.  It provides an apt contrast to the white and it has turned out very well.

Reinforcements have arrived!

As I get back into the swing of painting - muscle memory is returning to my brushwork. Getting more efficient, smoother, and cleaner.

Got everything I have so far assembled and a pair of sentinels painted. Got a few things to clean up before calling it tabletop standard.

That is a very impressive archer model and the green and gold combination is working very well.  I look forward to seeing how the entire force turns out.

Tried the popular new slapchop method out on the Shrine Luminor and Alarith Mountain Spirit. Here's the results!

I have no idea what that method entails, however, the result looks very impressive to me.  The water has a beautifully icy theme to it, so assuming that this was your intention the terrain feature has turned out very well.

It's like a brush-made zenithal - then you use heavily thinned contrast to block in the colors. This was my first attempt and not perfect, but am happy with overall success.

The luminor shrine came out better than I expected!

Thank you, Dread!

Merry Christmas!

Reinforcements have arrived from Hysh!

Also got some painting done - mainly blocking in colors. Will do some cleanup before proceeding to washes.

This is a very impressive force that you've assembled.  I really do like the colour combinations.  Once everything is finished, it's going to look very good indeed.

Back after a long break and taking my time with this batch.

The red looks so good.  It has a very consistent and clean appearance that really allows the colour to come through very well.  I would say that your brush work is very much in stroke :).

Is the deeper color in recesses on the legs (along the bones/tendons) of the mount a wash or is it just the paint settling naturally?

Hi Sir_Godspeed,

The fur / skin on the mount is a number of thinned contrast colors - blended in more toward the lower legs / concentrated fur areas. I finished with a wash of beserker red + reikland fleshshade.

@irisado: Thank you!

Gearing up to begin working on Aeldari this week!

Took about a month long rest from life stuff. Coming back to the hobby with a renewed mind. Ready to try-hard again.
