I dont know if this has happened to anyone else, but with the new default theme (astonished I think its called) For me the main menu options all apear above the actual forum itself, and it takes up 2 pages worth of space, making me scroll down to actual content. Weirdly it doesnt do this on the standard curve theme (so had to switch as quickly as possible) Just wanted to point it out.

oops....   missed a pesky closing semicolon in the code on that theme.   Should be fixed now.

As for the menu across the top.... yup, that is the location in this theme....   I've reduced the height a bit... but get a real monitor and you won't have problems with width versus height. :P

New error message from Robo:

Quote
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '>' in /home/fortyk/public_html/community/Themes/multimilk2_1-0-1/index.template.php on line 117

at least it seems like its directing you to the location! (though I doubt the lines are numbered?? happy counting!)  ;)

Something I've just noticed is that the auto censor isn't working (SMF curve theme) when viewing who's online (I could read the swear word of the thread the user was viewing, and I have the autocensor enabled, and it's working on the forum itself).  Edit: This doesn't seem to be happening any more, so perhaps just a temporary glitch?

Also, when returning to the forum index, the text sometimes keeps changing in size without my doing anything different:

It normally looks like this:

I believe I'm using the same theme... and am getting the same issue. But with the added fun factor that the row of page links above the boards decides to turn into a column... and the text size difference is much greater.

I am using IE as that's what I use on my work PC...

Hmmm...   The sie and column things are CSS issues... The CSS is not getting fully loaded.

I'll fix the parse issue again a little later. In the mean time, he should be able to access the board using

Alright....   I think I got the parse error fixed now.

Sorry for the errors that bumped in for a few mins...   I was playing around with the new default theme to try and reduce the header space.   I think I have it now - even if it doesn't meet W3C validation rules.

Is it intentional that messages have become part of User CP, rather than a separate tab, or are you still tinkering ;)?

actually, yes, that is now intentional...   I am trying to limit the length of the topnav so that it doesn't wrap...

plus messages are also listed in the user info section to the left

Much praise for Kindred for fixing the parse error.  I'm just wondering if you got the message I sent you with the 'contact' feature on the site.  If not, where exactly does that end up?

Azore of Ath-Ron

[edit]Also, is there some minimum number of pixels I have to give the site to have it fit on my screen?  Some sections of the site are too wide for the window I have, so I want to know if that's my end or yours.[/edit]

Unsophisticated players might think that the Letter of the rules is more important than the Spirit - but the Letter isn't liable to sneak up behind you with an axe if you abuse it.

probably on your end....    not sure of the min width, but you can try a few of the other themes.

No, the contact feature actually doesn't go to me, it goes to Raine's old address.... not sure if he even checks it any more. lol...   I suppose we should change that one of these years

I'm having the same issue as well with the message box for posting the (class="editor" name="message" id="message") section, looks like there is a java undefined error with the script.  It has the long text box.
Same problem in all browsers but I'm using FF 8.0 on a Win but same problem on a Mac

The issue with the forum index text changing its size which I outlined here has just started happening again, which seems a bit odd, unless something else has been altered?

Edit: It seems to have stopped doing it now.
