shade of a cyrpus
« on: March 4, 2010, 11:24:29 PM »
so here be my fourth poem for my creative writing class (got A's on my last three). I've one more after this to write and then I swear I'll never write a poem until I end up writing another poem.  :) and for some reason font face doesn't work.

So without further ado I present to you:

shade Of a cyprus

in the shade of a cyprus sat he
leaned against the trunk
his head bowed

beyond lay a field of coal
the lignite
having suffered
some great accension

the smoke plumes
rising
masking the aggregation of day
that bleak dawning

a thousand nigrescent stems
feeding that enfouldred
blemish

laden with soot
and songs
of legends

whose shadow
was cast by a merciless sun
some blinding abode
reckoned intangible

come eventide
come
he still sat
he cried
 the sky is weeping
for it was
[/font]
War. War is your trade is it not?

And it ain't yours?

Mine too. Very much so.
