Starting with two gangs (which the teaser models look fantastic!)

I can't wait!

It's confirmed to not be compatible with shadow wars armegeddon. (which is fine).

I'm honestly surprised. I figured when they came out with Armageddon that they'd be replacing Necromunda in the skirmish game roster. Glad I was wrong!

As an Enforcer player I'm definitely curious if they'll be included in the new version, or if it will be traditional gangs only.

If what they've been doing with Blood Bowl is any example to follow by, they'll be expanding the game quick heavily. I'd expect the same as with Blood Bowl. A core box game, and then extra gangs as separate boxes. Maybe a mix of GW and Forge World kits for characters or more unique models.

This is some of the most exciting news to come out of Forge World. I was quite open about how disappointed I was with the setting of the Necromunda relaunch...that the forces involved wouldn't and couldn't have as much flavour as the original gangs...and I think that the teaser minis kinda prove that still to be the case. Amazing minis (Especially the Goliaths...which in the original iteration hadn't interested me one bit).

The is great news and I look forward to the eventual release.

I just love how the mini's they showed, are mult-part plastic kits. It's going to be amazing for customization and combining with other kits.

Anyone else giddy with excitement?  ;D

Because they're multipart plastics they'll be so fun to work with.  But is it true that their scale is larger than 40k?

I'd be surprised if it was because I expect them to be compatible with the existing Shadow War terrain and a larger scale will make them look...wrong.

It's 40k scale. Goliaths are just massive ork-sized humans. They are on 32mm bases. The escher gangers look to be on 25mm

Oh good.  It's just for a moment there the Escher gangs looked like they were much taller than previous human models.

But I'm distracting us from the more important matter at hand.  And that's necromunda is back!

I always wanted to do a house delque gang.  But I might have to change that to Escher.  ;D

Hair and heels. That's what makes them look so damn big.

I love the Escher models and always wanted to start a gang, so this will be the perfect opportunity for me.

But those Goliaths. Wow.

Those goliaths could make great Death world IG stand ins.

They are planning to do all six gangs yes?

Per Lady Atia via Faeit212, all of the original gangs plus those found in the Outlanders edition and additional gangs featured in the Fanatic magazine will be released over time.

A Closer Look at Necromunda – Warhammer Community

Wow. Those full gangs are so beautiful. I can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy. I like the look of the play area base as well; it will look amazing with the Shadow War Terrain on top of it, but even if you don't have that, the board looks as though it will provide extremely atmospheric battles.

I love what they're doing with Necromunda. Roll on November!!

I've got to be honest I was pretty disappointed to see Necromunda go to more of a board game style with the play area base. Thinking about it now though it could work really well with the Zone Mortalis terrain, that could be absolutely epic!

They said in the article that it has rules for 'classic' 3d terrain and the board game in the box. So all bases are covered :)

A few days late, but Necromunda Pre-Orders are now live.

Additionally, Spikey Bits reports that Delaque, Van Saar, Orlock, and Cawdor are scheduled for release in 2018.  No official word from GW, so take that with a grain of salt. But given that the Necromunda website has a "Coming Soon" link for legacy gangs, I imagine we'll see rules for them fairly soon, and new models sometime in the new year if all goes well.

More speculative, but I'd also imagine that if the game does well we might see updated versions of some of the old classic Hired Guns, like Kal Jericho & Scabbs, Mad Donna, and others from either GW in plastic or FW in resin.  And maybe even some of the non-house gangs like Scavvies, Spyrers (these seem like a FW thing, IMO), and -- if we want to get really ambitious -- Ash Waste Nomads with new vehicle rules for the new edition of Necromunda.

Good news! Orlock models have been revealed!  They're due for release early next year along with Gang War vol II.

They're a lot steampunkier than I'd imagined, but I like them.  Definitely a departure from the traditional Orlock aesthetic with the denim and bandanas of the old metal models. I can definitely see these models making for some stylish Rogue Trader crew members or Inquisitorial Agents.  Maybe even Imperial Navy troopers.

I like the departure from the original Orlocks. They always seemed to be the blandest of the original gangs. It was too easy to just parachute in Catachan parts and have them fit...there was no real different identity to the Imperial Guard.

These guys though? They're lovely. Not Escher or Goliath lovely, but they're a totally different aesthetic and that suits me down to the ground. Really high quality miniatures with plenty of unique detail. I love that GW are incorporating the role of the gangers into the model...that is, there's a reason for Van Saar wearing the environment suits, Goliaths look as though they could be in a forge all day etc.

I can't wait to see what they plan to do with Delaque, Van Saar and Cawdor, let alone all of the additional factions that have been represented over the years.
