My favorite tank was the Exterminator, but I don't know anymore. I like my Demolisher. I also like my Manticore.
As for having a lack of names for the Shadow/Storm Sword, I find those names somewhat appropriate and not for lack of a better name. Think about it. The ShadowSword (Beyond being painted a shadow grey in the pictures) can hit most things likely before they can even see it, striking from the shadows, slicing through the opponents armour like a large sword.
The StormSword is a refit of the ShadowSword, and mounts a gun that has the equivalent potential of a Medusa Siege Mortar. It can 'Storm' a fortified position. (Note: I don't have any official information about the StormSword's main gun, but it looks like a Long Barreled Demolisher, just like the Medusa has.)
And one last thing. Delone, the question on this specific topic is "What do you think is the best tank?" not "...best Imperial tank?" or "...best Eldar tank?" Just "best tank." So, if someone thinks the Wave Serpent is the best tank (of which arguably, it very well could be), they have the right to post that opinion here. Just like someone posted "Land Raider Crusader" there somewhere (No, it's not cheesy, it's 255 points). If this forum didn't want an eldar presence, they wouldn't have asked ELDARonline to host it.

Koonitz you are right :)  But I still don't think the Serpent IS THE BEST :p  And nothing is cheese with 40k, if something was cheese, it would be the Balisik!

heheh ... the only thing that would make the Wave Serpent better is that upgrade the Tau have about re-rolling an immobilized result on the glance table. You would think the Eldar would have thought of something like that, what with being around for so long and all  ::)

You guys know what?  There are a couple of tanks that I believe to be the best.

Eldar-Wave Serpent.  Force field makes it like it has AV of 14.

IG-Shadowsword, Basilisk, Leman Russ, Hydra.....

SM-Land Raider and all its variants.

Tau-Hammerhead.

well in the BBB the WS had AV 14's
now its force field lowers the str of all frontal and side shots to 8, and prevents melta weapons from rollin extra
(you would think with tech like that, eldar would get the idea of av14)
thought for the day, anyone ever see a scorpion vs a baneblade before? thatd be a fun battle

Wow!  That is even worse than a one-liner POST!!  8^)  And what you laughing at?  The BaneBlade gots SO MUCH WEAPONS!  Anyone know how much?  I thinking 7 or 8...at least.  And plus that mortar....yes, mortar....

Give it a little conversion, AND WAAEE LLAA!!  A BaneBlade with a huge EarthShaker on its back! ;)  Hehehe, NO, two EarthShakers!  YES!  One on each side of the tank!  Muwhahahah! :D

Hahah, you adding stuff now.  If you going to add a Cobra, well than.  Why not add a Exterminator?  Maybe some Balisisks too?

But still....if someone has a BaneBlade or Scorpion, and they know someone who has the opposite.  You should ask to have a game, just 1 on 1.  Than just post what happened! :)

I know a Banablade is a powerful tank.  My cousin back home has a huge armoured company with atleast 4 to 5 of every tank that GW and FW have ever made!  And i know by a fact that he has never lost a battle.

hey i was once looking thorugh VDR and saw that you can have a sniper rifle on it...

imagine:

a gatling long barreled SNiper rifle tank... hehe that would be mad funny to look at... i mean where the heck would it hide???

Grim, after a thread is at least 2 pages long, it starts going "whack".  There is nothing you can do about it.  I don't think there is a thread out there that is 3 pages long, and is still on topic...and we're STILL ON TOPIC.  We were talking about the differences of both the tanks.

And now you guys are talking about coverted tanks.  The tittle has the word "tank" in it, and we're still talking about tanks!  :D
