Bring Back the Arbites
« on: April 3, 2011, 02:56:50 PM »
I think that the Adeptus Arbites should be re-introduced as a WH40k army. They would be a happy medium between the Imperial Guard and the space marines. They are well equipped and have access to vehicles as well. I think that they would be s great army choice.

To learn more about the Adeptus Arbites check them out at lexicanum.com

you could use the new GK codex with coteaz as a judge, and warriors as your basic troop. with crusaders as the riot shield people. Chimeras can be your apc equivelant.

There was a leak of what appears to be a pre-production page from an upcomming Sisters of Battle codex that contains an entry for Arbites squads. Still rumour and heresay, of course, but you may be getting your Arbites back after all.

I want them standing alone with their own codex as an independent force of the Imperium.

I want them standing alone with their own codex as an independent force of the Imperium.

Good luck with that.

In the end there's not enough variety and difference with them to warrant a whole codex. They're not as popular as marines who can get away with it.
Having entries in a larger codex, say Codex: Imperial Agents or some such would be cool.
I love the Arbites but understand they'll never get their own book.

Anything is possible. If there isn`t enough variety then just add some. They have the repressor already. They supposedly have access to Leman Russ and they also have chimeras. I think it could happen if you push hard enough.

I think that you should be able to give them access to minor vehicles used by IG and SM like maybe razorbacks or sentinels. You could also take IG or SM as allies. It could happen.

imperial guard vets squads with airs carapace armor and shot guns as enforcers.  Commissairs/lord for judges, hellhounds/chimeras for suppression/apc vehicles.

or, the aforementioned GK list.  Or a similar build with witch hunters.

be happy there,s no arbites book.. You can represent them legit, but no means to ruin your army's image
