GW is generally not as strict on artwork as long as you don't claim its yours, so you should be fine.

citing, as in proof of where you got it?  For an avatar? Nope!
We only reallly care about the actual rules, things that help you play the game, etc.  So, no stats, exact pointcosts, etc.

Are you allowed to post things that a statline could be, in part, worked out from? Like, say, 12 Space Marines cost 240 points (which they don't, you foolish copyright-breakers who can't be bothered to shell out £12! Who fields naked Marines anyway?), hence making it possible to work out their cost of 20 each? If you put upgrades in, it becomes impossible to work that one out, but I was just wondering.

10 Guardians (Y,pts ea) Total: X

The total is fine, the Y, not so fine.

Ah, so I'm safe. Plus Barely anything can be naked nowadays anyway, so I'm safe.

Envisions 5 Marines with no upgrades, Sergeant or all that stuff.

To clarify it further,

Quote
Also, do not forget that you are not allowed to post individual upgrade costs, but you can post the unit cost (as shown above). To make this clearer, we do not want to see lists with this;

HQ
Super Duper Leader Man (70 pts)
-  Power Fist (22pts)
-  Bolt Pistol (1pts)
-  Aura of awesome (15pts)
= 108pts

The list above can get us into a lot of trouble. However, this would be acceptable;

HQ
Super Duper Leader Man
-  Power Fist
-  Bolt Pistol
-  Aura of awesome
= 108pts

can i have an offical answer be fore i post this please

many thanks jim

Not really sure what you mean here..
But if youi're asking if you can post 3rd edition army lists, absolutely.  Not sure why you would, but you can.  Just point out it's 3rd edition.  And normal copyright rules apply, just in case.

If it's something else..please try again?

What's an amphetamine parakeet and why do I see it ocasionally on the site? I think it might just refer to 'nilla marines, but i'm not sure  :-\

Seeing amphetamine parakeet means you have your autocensor turned on, for example, you won't see 'amphetamine parrot', you'll see one of the many humorous replacements kindly provded by the staff. Unfortunately I turned mine off so long ago that I don't remember how you do it, so that's for somebody else to tell you.

Under "Profile", click "Look and Layout preferences" on the left side.  Check (or uncheck) "Leave Words Uncensored".  Then you can experiance 40k in all its greatness ^_~

Well, i was just curious as i turned mine off a while ago, but I didn't realize that's what spawned it as i've seen it used independently i guess as a joke off of the filter.
