Title: Upgrades planned for 40kOnline...
Post by: Kindred on May 5, 2011, 10:03:11 AM
Around the end of May, we will be upgrading the site to the new version of SMF (the forum software). This will be a major upgrade to the software, all mods/add-ons and potentially the themes as well.  The site may be down for as much as 24 hours.

Additional information will be posted when I have a more firm schedule of the upgrade.

Will there be any effect on the forum, board, or post content that we might need to brace ourselves for? Including of course the more recent additions and uploads to things such as the Articles and Gallery sections?

Except for the downtime, and possibly some theme updates, there should be no visible change to anything else

So, we are now in June. Did these upgrades ever happen?

I don't know. They might have happened but I don't notice any change.

We're still waiting on the SMF 2.0 final to be released. They've delayed it.
