« on: January 10, 2018, 04:51:27 AM »
So banshees now being super quick with advance+charge+3inxhes pop them onto the board with webway strike... Any one used this combo to trash infantry?

The bonus charge distance from Acrobatic only applies to a Howling Banshee unit "In a turn in which it Advanced" which means you can't use webway strike + Acrobatic in the same turn, since you can't Advance during your movement phase in a turn in which you webway strike the Banshees in.

Blazinghand is correct, however you can still reach quite a bit without webwaying(?) them.
With a transport you can give them almost 3" more so 3+8+D6+3+2D6 = 25" charge on average.
Throw matchless agility on them for another +2.5".

Most powerful is to cast quicken on them though 8+D6+8+D6+3+2D6 = 22" minimum, average: 33.5"

Quicken + matchless agility + transport + saim-hann would give them:
3+8+6++8+D6+3+2D6= 40,5" charge on average.

I think it's a nice tool to have especially if you need to fill Elite and/or HQ slots.

But if you want to use Quicken, make sure you position and plan where the Banshee unit will be and where your RoB caster will NEED to be.

It all looks good on paper till you try to implement it and you have to stick your Warlock/Seer out by his self so that he can cast the power and then probably get DtW.

A hidden 2 Warlock Conclave unit can fix that for you.  You just need to know what other power they will have. Since Quicken is a 1 or 2 time use in a game most times.

I like twin Protect/Jinx casters.  A spirit seer to Protect your line. and Jinx with Concordance of power for the enemay.  And that set up works great with Fenris and the Quicken power as he outlined. Then there is very little chance of a DtW roll. If it is very critical and you have a Farseer....use Seer Council stratagem prior.
