The 40kOnline Forum Awards: Ork Poster of the Year Nominations
« on: January 20, 2011, 09:59:56 PM »
The 40kOnline Forum Awards 2010.

See the above for the rules and specifics of the Forum Awards, and use the linked thread for general questions.

Make your nominations for the Ork Poster of the Year here in this thread or through PMing me (though clearly title it so I can easily tell what it's about). The only limit is that you can not nominate the previous winner, which was in this case was OD from TV. You can only nominate a single person for an award, but there is no limit to how many awards you can nominate someone for (whether the same member or a different one).

Oh, and people, please remember to use full usernames or link to the profile as I don't know every member of this site's nickname/acronym/shorthand/etc. etc. etc.

Nominations
  • SKEETERGOD (3)
  • moc_065 (3)
  • Dropfall (1)
  • angel of death 007 (1)
  • Jack_Merridew (1)

Hmm.  SKEETERGOD, I think.  And now I need to type more because SKEETERGOD is all in caps just like its supposed to be and it tells me I can't have that many uppercase letters in what I initally wrote.

For Poster of the Year how about this one:

Just Kidding, I know you mean; someone who posts good stuff, and more good stuff.
My nomination is: Moc065 (insert fireworks display here)
He is a great poster of many posts, but is being nominated for just posting great advice, modeling and painting stuff, and batreps stuff. Great stuff. (I must have watched too many Snapple commercials)
He is a great forum member and is helpful to all who ask of him, He has my nomination as well as my respect for just being a great person to have hanging around these boards.

Now if we need a slightly more formal and information filled nomination let me know, as I know how to do that, I was just keeping it lighthearted and simple.

Wow this is hard as we got so many great people in our ork forum.  But I wanna nominate

Dropfall

He does a lot for our board and definately think he deserves a nomination.  OD from TV, dropfall and skeetergod contribute a lot to the board and the operation of the board.  It has been a good year all and has been fun working with all of you.

I'll nominate moc065 because he's been such a cheerful bit of help and because his Blue in da Phaes Warband is such an inspiration. :)

Remember what -Makenshi- stated in the primary post,
Oh, and people, please remember to use full usernames or link to the profile as I don't know every member of this site's nickname/acronym/shorthand/etc. etc. etc.

Personally I am glad to see the current nominations (by my count there are 5 individuals that deserve the 2010 poster of the year), and as there are still two individuals that I would like to see nominated, but since I am restricted to one and only one nomination I will swing to the more senior, angel of death 007.

All the current nominees are on my short list of people I'd like to win, and when it comes time to vote I honestly don't know who I'll swing for.  The year has been a crazy one for the Ork board: the reformation of the Ork CoC as the WotW, the Knuckles on Necrodermis campaign, the Saint Snik competition, just to name a few.  And during that time each of the people nominated worked both in front and behind the scenes working on putting it together.  If it was possible I'd give them each a medal.

Peace
~OD

*points to OD from TV's post above for the quote*

Y'see, this is why I ask people not to use nicknames, as I don't know if you're "umming and ahing", referring to the same person or simply going crazy ;).

IfThe Terminator Series' Skynet would realize something.....

If they send Terminators back in time every time they are about to lose....but instead...they send them to the point at which judgement day occurred...and each time after, send to about 3 months after the time they last received a terminator...The resistance would lose a lot quicker. As the technology would actually be improving too fast for the resistance to react.....The Terminator series would end...and Skynet would have won.

You can't nominate OD, Humble, he won last year.

My nom goes to Jack_Merridew as he's yet to be nominated, and he very well should be.
