Well, I made my choice on a chapter. Finished my first squad, and hero.

I just have 46 more infantry to paint, and then I have 1250pts done lol.

Also, my buddy has been working on his Speed-Waagh, so we played a couple of fun games, with the intention of learning the rules of our new armies.

Excellence personified, Squid, those are some lovely Tartaros Terminators. That's my favorite pattern of Tactical Dreadnought Plate too, so extra points. Greigor is looking good, slick thunder hammer conversion ;).

Will there be Primaris in your Space Wolves, Squid? :) You know, with the rumor of new Primaris kits on the horizon, alongside a new Space Marine Codex, I think I'm going to pick up one or two of the Imperial Fists Supremacy Force Battleforces. What do you think about this year's battleforces anyway?

Thanks man! The tables are the stores, so I can't take credit for those.

There probably will be. A buddy wants to split tooth and claw with me,which could be fun! I think my main focus will be on heresy-era tech though.

I think all the battlrforces are phenomenal deals. The imperial fist one you get less value from the models, as it has the new imperial fist upgrade spruce, but even without that, there is a great saving.

Your paint is smooth. The battle damage on them looks great. Color transition is really clean. I can't get over the flesh tones, I usually opt out for helmets because mine look to cartoonish. Yours are so clean. Keep it up!

Love the Grey Hunters, Squid! I agree with Dread, I think you nailed the flesh on each of the models. I think the power armor came out very well, too! Also, you paint pretty fast! ;D

Thanks man! I have a flesh scheme pretty much down packed, but I still have a bit of trouble on larger smooth areas (like bald heads). Faces, with all the detail, are the easiest.

Bugmans glow- fleshed wash- cadian fleshtone pretty much all over, keeping the recessed areas dark, and then an edge highlight on brows, nose, ears etc with Kislev flesh.

Love the Grey Hunters, Squid! I agree with Dread, I think you nailed the flesh on each of the models. I think the power armor came out very well, too! Also, you paint pretty fast! ;D

Thanks!

The basecoats/ pin washes took the most time. I'm pretty much at the stage with the whole army now, that I'm just doing highlights and blocking in the non-armour colours. Now that I've got the techniques down, I can chew through the models pretty fast. I put in an hour or so a day (more on weekends), so I can get a squad done a week (or so).

I'm just worried about burnout, as I have 35 more power armoured marines built I need to paint. :-P But, the squad markings, battle damage and transfers keep me excited for the end stages.

Just finishing up my rune priest now.

Nice loot sack, Squid! I cannot wait to see what you do with them! I'm still thinking about what 40k force I want to collect. I'll be doing sisters of battle whenever they come out next year. I was looking at Primaris or Mechanicus, who have gotten quite some good points drops in chapter approved. But Tau got some really good ones too, so I am looking at them again.

I finished up my long fangs, and now I'm working on one of the dreads.

Been mostly just playing underworlds and working on my wolves.

I finished one of the dreadnoughts, and a unit of Thunderwolves.

I played two games.

First was 2000pts against Ad-Mech, which was fun. He shot be a bunch, and I charged him and cut him up. Fun times had by all.

Second game was 1500pts against my buddies ork army, which was also very fun. We played on saturday, so tried out one of the new chapter approved maelstrom missions (tactical Cascade), which was a hoot.

More wonderful painting, Squid, I can't believe you've already painted so much! Always liked the Space Wolf Ven. Dreads, but I still cannot wrap my head around the concept of thunder wolves. Just a preference thing though, your paint job does them incredible justice ;D. Great work!

Looking awesome dude! I honestly don't know how people paint 46 dudes so quickly.

I've worked out that I've painted 97 models this year...but it's taken the whole year to do it! It'd take me 6 months to do what you've done in a few weeks ;)

Also, painted up a Leman Russ my clubmates bought me as an engagement gift.

Demonifuge pair

Working on some of the Indomitus Marines.

And the Yncarne

Excellent work, Killersquid! It does this heart good to see the Aeldari so ascendant in your work and thread! What's next on the paint list for you? :) Love the Harlequins by the way, shows you don't need to pull off the checker pattern to really make them work :).
