Hey Myen'Tal, I really like the softer variation on the Lumineth. Both versions work, but I think I might just favour the softer version, but it's very close. Great work nevertheless!

Lovely to see some of the Necrons built. They look like great models and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them.

The new Necron models look sweet, got a paint scheme in mind?

The new Necron warriors have some nice subtle battle damage effects, its nice they got some variety.

A few touch ups still need to be made, but this one's almost finished.

Hey Myen'Tal, you're making great progress with these Elves. I think the new spearmen are looking great.

Eltharion is largely brilliant, although I would personally consider lightening his armour a tad; the results of your armour that has been closer to bone than brown have been your best work so far and helps the blue look more vibrant.

One area I would suggest a reattach on, though, is the cloak. The underside of the cloak looks really good from what I can tell, but I think the top isn't your best workout just seems a bit rushed and the result is a little sloppy for you. I hate being critical of your work, because it's routinely great, but I've seen you produce better results in the past and think going back and having another go will really make this piece sing.

Keep up the progress bud!

Hey Loosh,

Thanks for the advice. Also, I'm not close to finishing Eltharion, ha-ha, I know the cloak does not look great at all lol. So I will be revisiting that soon. I'll also be brightening up his armor as well. I hit a frustration point with him, so I took a break and started doing wardens again!

In the meantime, here is another finished warden. I went back to GW's tried and true method for skintone painting and I think she looks a lot better because of it. I'm also starting to dot talassar blue contrast in the eyes, if you can tell.

Went back to Eltharion and pretty much finished him.

Let me your opinions, guys!

That is such a cool looking army shot Myen'Tal! You've done excellent work creating a cohesive force. I love it.

I'm glad your nose wasn't put out of joint with what I said about Eltharion. The changes you've made have done wonders for the model. I really like what you've done and now Eltharion has the paint job that it's standing in the army demands.

Well done bud. Very well done.

Thanks Loosh, and no worries about the critique. You were spot on and I'm always open to constructive feedback :)! I think Eltharion came out quite a bit better because of your advice  :). I aim to paint another one up, just to see if I can one up myself sometime ;D.

But I'll need to move onto the rest of the army before that, already got one that I'm happy with!

alright army shot :) looking great mate, the purple metallic is a nice touch that will set them apart from others doing a similar blue white scheme.

Thanks, Mage, that is the hope! :) I think it is standing out quite well!

Acquired a Daughters of Khaine army

Got some new paints!

Managed to convert the bulk of my paint scheme over while also adding variety and simplifying the process! This test model is at the wash / base stage.

A few more highlights

The white on the shield is inconsistent, but white is painful, Looshkin might have some tips as he seems to have it down pat, but me I cheat ;) White undercoat then picking the right wash/shade effect, the new contrast white ontop of the white undercoat does the job.

Cav's method of using a very light grey light also works, I've found they have a better coverage, so its easier to get a smoother result and then you still have real white for highlights.

Hi Mage, this is a bright grey color actually, but next time I'll try creating more of a gradient to get that smoothness.

Did some more work o n this one, needs some cleanup, but close.

While I always love your work and if i critique something it's because i saw it. Now I'm thinking that the white on the shields, you know I cheat with white too, I would have went with a bright silver just for the silky smoothness but that just me. 8)

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'm still working on how to tackle the shields.

Experimental base complete. Quite satisfied with it!

In the Age of Glories, long before the spiraling descent of the Spirefall, our God Teclis terraformed these verdant moorlands into a realm of levitating mountain paradises.

Ayrathia - The Coalition of the Summersea Mountains... Generations have passed since the Spirefall, and Ayrathia has long since forgotten peace and prosperity.

Several of the Summersea Princedoms endure even in the Age of Sigmar... have you ever seen the Dawnrider Knights gallop at full tilt across the broken moorlands of their shattered realm? The golden sunlight strikes their plate armor and their steeds' barding as if annointed by the Zenithal Avatars of Hysh.

To watch their legions sally forth is to witness the splendor of the Realm-Lords. It is to behold true glories.

that looks great Myen'Tal. I love to pose, but having only one leg connecting it to the base.. based on my experience, the best case is the glue will eventually let go, worst case the leg will snap. Maybe make it look like it was jumping over a log, so you can hide another way to support the model.

Hey Mage, it just isn't the foot connected to the base. There's this long slot that the foot is embedded into. This is what's connected to the base, it's just been subtly covered. It should be fine. You would literally have to break it off. If you did so by accident and managed to break the foot base, chances are the model might be ruined anyway  ;) :P
