So, thoughts?
I personally like it. It does the trick and breathes fresh life into an old kit, but I’ve seen a very mixed reception to it. What do you guys think?

I think it looks great and a cool gift to Astra Militarum players.
I guess I can understand why older players who already have a few hundred Astra militarum infantry models wouldn't be too enthused about it, but still... to newer players I think it's a great way to vary the force. I think it'll serve the purposes of Astra Militarum players who'd like to renovate their infantry as well.

I was actually surprisingly excited about this. I know some people think this is a bit of a "gimmick" or whatever, but I like that they're supplying some heads that seem to be designed to portray women and some other races/POC, as this was something I remember talking with folks about even like ten years ago.
Obviously, that look is largely due to the paint job, BUT, point is, a wider range of facial sculpts is just good for everyone, whatever you're gonna use them for.

I think it's great, it's also one of the older kits which has aged very well.

They look cool, but my Vostroyans won't be seeing much use out of them, alas.

Kinda raises the question if they're going to write something about the "Cadian model" (in-universe) being turned into a franchise (given that Cadia is gone and any "native" Cadian is mostly passed away by the present timeline). The Imperial Guard fan in me definitely wants to see some Cadian heritage/diaspora revival and revanche against Chaos.
