Ah yes, I always thought that the way to a GUY was through his stomach! Works for me! I love food but I've got this metabolism so in order to gain weight I need to lift and do strenuous activities. Nothing wrong with that either though! Note- there's a difference between having bigger man breasts than a girl and having bigger man pecs. One they'll go for and one not...

I'm currently uninvolved but have a pair of prospects. One is a girl I've known for a couple years, we're friends (but just because we weren't on each other when we met), and so I'm employing a confidence/persistence strategy with her. After (or before) her is a girl named Dani (the other is Amanda) whom I met at a retail store (don't worry zeus, not walmart, it was Petters) but she's got a twenty year old boyfriend. She was considering breaking that off last I heard so as soon as I hear she's free I'll maybe call her. She goes to another school and doesn't exactly live next door. From what I've heard she's a bit... frisky, shall we say? So I shouldn't need to use anything but confidence and a little common sense there.

Why would us Hee-men have to argue about our sizes?  ;) I thought we were all mature here!  :-X

ARIQ: understood,..but I think KLARDOM has the link to the Rules page. KLARDOM if you'd be so kind as to post it?

Most of you know my line of reasoning around the 'friends' topic, but I'll paraphrase the eternal wisdom of Mr. Chris Rock here:

"Women think they can have platonic male friends. Men just have girls they haven't f**ked yet, or ones they're still trying to figure out. Women keep male 'friends', because,..ya nevah know,.."

Men and women cannot become friends until the intimacy issue is resolved - simple as that.

The Laughing God laughs at you, not with you.

There it is.  I got bored sometime during girls thread incarnation number two.

And just for the record, I'm curious as to all of your opinions on playing mind games with girls.  Nothing incredibly devious, nothing that will get them all screwed up or anything, just some minor confusion on their part in regaurds to you.  I personally find them alot of fun...though some poeple think they're cruel and such.  I figure it's not a big deal as long as you're not hurting anyone.

Yes, I'm back.

I hate to sound so shallow, but I think I actually may have found a truthful flaw/supporter(both at once) to Eldanesh's statement. Correct if I am wrong.

If a girl is pretty, no matter what, Eldanesh is right. Unless the male is taken or in my situation he would never mind intimacy with a good-looking girl, even with an established friendship.

However, a girl who's an absolute beast (and again, forgive my shallowness) can be friends with a guy and there is no need to worry about intimacy unless something else develops. *ahems*

Regarding MY old problems......ummmm mm.....I made advances and it didn't work....so now I'm just having fun with mind games. They do work...I don't especially like doing it but she didn't put me down nicely...revenge through trickery shouldn't be a concern but I'm Chaotic Good, not Lawful Good. Sorry, I'm a Dungeons and Dragons freak as well. Hehehehehe.....

Remembrance of his final glory

Recounts the tale of his story
And all his waking power

Both demon and man was he,
A breed of forgotten shame
Yet all demon would soon he would be
And all would know his name

I went down the pub for new years eve last night and down there I saw 3 people who were in my year in highschool.

They were the 'in crowd back then....but from the looks of 'em certainly not now.

The guy had just become what can only be described as Uuuuuuugleeee. Meanwhile the two girls. Heh heh. One was exactly the same but had a HUGE GUT and the other had just really let it go.
And to think that in the past these kids were the coolest, most popular people on the block. Now they hang around with a bunch of lads 2-3 years younger than them. They also looked incredibley young compared to me and my friends who had been away at university. Strange.

As for the mind games. I tried it a lot a few months back. Suffice to say it only got me wound up and didn't actually get me anywhere.
So go out there and just be yourself and get on with it.

There are no real tactics other than being confident and being who you are.

Heh, I think we've heard that somewhere before... The popular kids in highschool become the burnouts... Yeah, real Zen knowledge TMB!  ;)

Dar-kone, yeah, it's usually a shy form of flirting when they do that. Often us guys don't pick up on girly schemes like that though...  :P

Well... I can't say about flirting in school (I should hope not, all boys school). Plus we live kind of far away... blah blah blah. My best 'score' was at the UM basketball game (go terps, duke sux :P). The game was good because there weren't those awkward and uncomftorble moments of silence, I could go right back to the game if that happened (only once, really). And you can still talk to her. I also tried taking her to the Two Towers, but that didn't work because we're both LOTR fanatics, and we watched the movie instead of talking. In the end, we 'liked' the movie more because we were both there in the corner.

dude big mistake never take a girl to the movies when
a) on a first date - this is a time to talk to each other and see what you do have in common
b) when you want to actually watch the film -  not make out
c) you have conflicting tastes - you'll either pick a film she likes you hate or vise versa
Do take a girl to the movies when
a) you are already together - dont really need to talk to her as you already know her
b) you both like the same stuff - no fights over who's film this time
c) you are just friends - no making out

Yeah, well, it wasn't my first date, I'm already pretty much "with her," but no making out as of yet, especially with her mom in the theater (hey, cut me some slack we're 8th graders).

Did anyone have a particularly interesting New Year, in the 'Guys and Girls' thread sense?

I had a very quiet New Year, going to the local village pub with my parents. Other than a dance with the pretty barmaid, I was shockingly well behaved.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the number of pretty lasses in such a small place, but not by the number of them that smoke. I have to say my biggest disappointment with England thus far is the number of smokers.

Well the best thing that happened at my new years was a family gathering and no fights. Coming from a large family every large family gathering normally turns in to a royal rumble with new member of the family diving in every few seconds. So in that sense very good new year and the 2nd in a row for me and the g/f with no problems

Yeah, Wiggus, 8th grade translates into 13/14 (I'm in 8th grade too)

Wait, did I just post in this thread?

ah yes, the crowd in the pub was 75% female. However, they were all faaar too young which was disappointing. I also have no desire to pull a girl who is too young for me, and my parents being present didn't help either.

got countless texts last night whilst in The Bull pub. Got texts from Katherine, Laura and Dawn. I must have got 6 from Laura and she was apparently with her boyfriend and was texting me non-stop.  ;D
She said "Happy new year and may all your dreams come true"
So I replied "Does this mean you're going to force yourself upon me in a passionate frenzy?"
she replied "Yeah"
LOL
In a perfect world she wouldn't be joking.

Sorry Archon Kei'Ariq, but England is full of girls who smoke and contains very few guys who smoke. Madness I know.

Ah man, if I knew the stuff I have learned by now when I was 13/14 I would have been one heck of a bad boy!
I had some real nice girls throwing themselves at me and I had no clue what to do about it.
