Measuring Distance Question
« on: October 13, 2015, 11:29:38 PM »
Hello, I am new to warhammer 40k and I have a question regarding measuring distance. I have only played a couple games with my friend which we came to an argument about measuring distance and line of sight.

In the 7th edition rule book, it states that measuring distance between models is base to base (pg10/same as assaulting) while the shooting is done from body to body (pg14). He was shooting with a hive tyrant at my eldar jetbikes. The total distance only made it to my bike and not the model's body. Would I be right to guess that he is not within range to shoot me?

Thanks in advance.

As long as he is in distance to your model, bike included, he is in range. He is not specifically targeting the rider, he is firing at the bike and rider and as they do not have separate stats he fires at the model as a whole.

Hope that helps.
