Getting into Eldar looking to find tune a list

I've been getting back into 40k and for some reason the Eldar caught my eye. I've been loving getting into the Lore of the race, especially the Harlequins (who doesn't love murderous space clowns).

This lost revolves around getting the Harlequins in combat and buffing them with hit modifiers to keep them safe

I'm looking for feedback on what issues the list may run into.

The idea is during deployment to use a CP to pit the 10 man Harly squad in the web way. I can take Player of light on the Troupe Master and since he can't be shot at I can use him to potentially get a 9" charge off. I could use 3 cp and put them both in the webway bit that seems like a waste we'll see.

The Faraeer Shadowseer and Warlock will buff and debuff key units.
I've listed the most likely powers I'll take but that is subject to change.

The Autrach will use the banshee mask to charge a unit who's overwatch I'm afraid of. He also gets me CP back and can get me extra hits with The Reapers and the Wind riders

The Wind Riders I'm not sold on. I had shining spears but I play orks a lot and they seemed to be under performing. Everyone else seems to be using them so maybe I'm just doing it wrong. I'm open to advice.

So yeah Reapers and Harleys keep pressure on the enemy charecters cast powers to force multiply and the Rangers and Windriders find something to do like capture an objective or something.

Autarch is fairly standard - I like to run mine with a fusion gun too as I find it compliments him nicely and he can do some serious damage with it.

The rest is fairly standard, but the windriders I have been disappointed by every time I took them. What role are you trying to have them fulfill? I am sure there is a better use for those 200+ pts...

I think a touch of tweaking here can really make this part shine.

I tend to not like putting all special weapons on my troupes. I would advocate doing 2 with Pistol + Special CC weapon, one with Special CC weapon, and two stock. Those two stock are there to die.

Now, the 10 man grouping - I would highly advise against that. Harlies are fast enough to not really need the DS to get across the board, especially with the fact you can't DS out of your own deployment zone until turn 2. That means you are looking at a best turn 2 charge, worst turn 3. And 10 man is begging for morale shennanigans to hit them. Plus, you will probably find that you are seriously over-killing with them

I would advise just taking them as a group of 5 or 6 in a third starweaver

The Solitare - may I suggest throwing the rose his way and letting him hunt characters - mine is utterly feared in that regard now :)

The first warlock Skyrunner - who is he quickening? Not sure any one really needs or wants it... I think he can be dropped

Likewise, the 2nd one I would trade his powers out for jinx - enhance is wasted on the Eldar and the 'Quins can't make use of it.

The three units of Dark Reapers - I would make two units of 5 instead. That way you can get more bang for your buck on any stratagems (lighting reflexes etc).

I could see adding a farseer skyrunner to doom targets for the harlies, as well as providing some extra psychic defense.

Overall I think it's a good core list and concept.
So, what your saying is it's not your fault you look stupid by using words you don't get?

Thanks for the Advice!

For the Warlocks the plan is to drain an enemy unit, both to enhance one of my own. My understanding is that at the beginning of the game I can choose what powers to take, so if it is not needed I can use something else.
I'll keep an eye on it though and if I feel it's not pulling its weight I'll drop him

My fear is having to charge two harly units into hth on the same turn after one attacks (and hopefully annihilates its target my opponent can spend 2cp to interrupt and attack first against the other harly squad. If this happens I would like as many hit and wound modifiers as possible as it doesn't seem terribly difficult to wipe 5 Harlys off the board.

I dont have a solid plan with Quicken. In past games I've frequently felt "man if I could move those guys just a bit further I'd win this whole thing" just seems like a solid trick to have but again I'll keep an eye on it.

Your unit recommendations for the size of the Harly squad make perfect sense. Mixing fusion pistols the cc weapons and stock troops to allocate wounds is a fantastic idea.

I've also found room for a fusion blaster for the Autrach. Now my opponents have no idea what he's gonna do.
