Eldar Corsair Void Dreamer
« on: February 29, 2012, 08:32:59 AM »

Ielenia Shadowheart, Neshani's youngest sister.  Once on the path of the spiritseer in her craftworld, Ielenia left because she felt her older sister was in trouble.  She now guides Neshani and her crew on their misadventures in the void.

The model so far uses the following components:
Island of Blood Mage lower torso
greenstuff cast of the Chapterhouse Studios Farseer Jetbike Conversion female torso
Avatars of War Wood Elf Hero bare head
Kabalite Warrirors Sybarite head bit
Reaper Fairy wings, smaller than Neshani's
FW Corsair Jetpack
Voidraven bomber pilot back
greenstuff and plasticard

Still more greenstuff work to do.

I'm open to suggestions for bits that would complete the sheath.  I'd like to keep her witchblade stowed.  She'll carry a staff in her right arm that will have ornamentation resembling the sky raiders symbol.  Her left hand will be casting.  I'll probably put a pistol on her right hip and some plasma grenades in place of the potion bottle on her left hip.

The elemental base will probably be removed in favor of some ancient ruins.

More to come.

Again, wonderful work!

I'm impressed by your knowledge of your bits box!

What did you use to make the torso cast - instant mold?

I'm planning to get some instant mold as my corsairs are needing a lot of daemonette heads, and they seem quite rare on tinterweb.

Looking forward to seeing the finished version!

Just normal greenstuff for the mold and the cast and I use olive oil as a release agent.  I think it picks up most details pretty well.

A lot of the bitz are intentional purchases rather than things I just had lying around.  Bitzbarn.com and Let the Dice Decide are my sources and I seem to recall LtDD having a good selection of daemonette heads when I bought one to turn into a Tau Water Caste diplomat for my Rogue Trader entourage.

I can hook you up with some Reaver wings if you're in need, though I imagine those are pretty easy to get your hands on.

That is stonking great, as is your Corsair Princess.  The Khorne Berzerker set has a sheathed, curved sword that may work, though it may be too big.
