Topic: My 1500pts Orky Army

Howdy do fellow 40K'ers!

A few days ago I was looking through me armies and came across my 2nd edition 500pt ORKS (my first army  ), and after a brief moment of nostalgia, and memories of how my Pulsas landed in between the legs of a Wraithlord . And it gave me an idea...hey...I'll start a new Ork army I thought. So I got the Codex on saturday, and came up with this list. Plz rate, thanx...

No, this army isn't bad. It's just a very basic army that you see in any white dwarf battle report. I feel it needs more character, make it excel at one aspect rather than being average at all.

Well first off, I look forwards to seeing pics of your Nob Gnarley.

Secondly, its a good list, but I think its a little too diversified. Personally, I would rather see you change it up so that all of your Boyz are mounted in either trukks or a battlewagon, which always makes a cool addition to an army. Put the stikkbombaz and tankbustaz in trukks, then change up your normal boyz so that you cna put 19 of them plus yer warboss in the wagon, and then but the rest in one or two trukks. and dump the grots, they are really expansive and frankly they bite. replace them with a few more boyz.

Dont take a shoota! I converted mine so it holds a slugga! Its much bether! Else i love that one! (i have one myself, whit that equipment+1 atack squig, wich is an old WHFB squig)

I have used these alot.. but i havnt realy found out whye people think they are so good! (the reason taht i use them is becaus i need the points... and i have the models). Use scorchers! They are much bether! Beleve me!

seems like a good army, but when you upgrade to 2000pts i would definatly give the warboss a group of nobs, unless he joins another squad.  Really i see no big problems.  When you upgrade if you don't want nobz get ard' boys and put warboos in them, it would greatly increase the power of the unit and the surviablity of the warboss.

If your warboss is out on his little lone-sim, I suggest taking Mega Ar. That way if is able to be hit, he'll survive alot longer.

Like 'The Big Joke' said drop the Stikkabommaz, cuz they tend to be a little useless cuz they ain't got the mighty choppa.

The Tankbustas, give them a Nob and convert a rokkit launcher for him, the extra rokkit can help specially when facing those mighty tanks.

Da Stompa Dread, drop the big shoota and give him to skorchas, 2 flamers are better that one. It also  can save you from assualting those lowly IG, and Guardians, as you whip out 2 templates adn annihilate them.

Basilisk would go well. I would also say don't get a Hell Hound they tend to blow quite easy. Saying that 3 Rhinos would freak your opponent.
