LARPing in Maryland - October...
« on: April 28, 2012, 05:39:51 PM »
So, I am probably going to Maryland for Intercon Midatlantic, October 5-7...

Anyone who likes LARP should consider it, especially because, at 35 for the con, plus less than 100 a night for the hotel rooms, it is he cheapest and one of the best LARP conventions out there.

plus, anyone who decides to show up, if you are over 21 and mention 40konline to me, will get invited to a scotch and rum party at the con...

I am not a LARPer, but as I live in Baltimore and have many friends into LARPin, I might end up down there just to watch. If I do I will find you and take you up on that Scotch :P

Unfortunately, I was just notified that they cancelled the convention for this year.
(a fair number of attendees, but mostly comp'ed for running games. Only a few paid sign-ups)

Ah well...   Anyone who's in the Massachusetts area in March for Intercon M is welcome to join me for the same offer. :)

What LRP you do? You should look at the Big UK ones.

Next year Empire LRP will blow everyuthing out of the water.

However, everything about Tarrin is unfair and should be sanctioned with extreme prejudice.

The Globals have issued a 2:1 ruling that yes, yes everything about Tarrin is indeed unfair. We have also been sullied merely by contemplating this.

I mostly do small, theatre style larping...  although every few years, I do go down to DragonCon to play Dark Confrontation (which is a large, theatre style game). I think you folks call them "Freeforms"

I get bored with the live-combat larps... :)

As for heading over the the UK... if I did head to the UK for larp, I'd be going over in November to play in Consequences
