This is something that I've been wanting to do for a while.
There is nothing that we can do to make trading safer for you.
Although there is risk involved I have never had a problem with anyone. But I have heard horror stories and actually have a few pleasent surprises myself.
so this thread is for people who have been burned by someone (especially of that some one is still hanging around and trading with others) also if you have traded with someone and they sent you extra guys or an exceptionally well painted model and you just want to give a hey thanks in a public way..... here's your chance.
Now this could very well back fire on me so I want you to remember before you post no flaming and no cursing.
Also no urban legends .... if it didn't happen to you it didn't happen. ;)

you should note Seer in the dark as a Good Trader. He's U.K. based, sent the models in a neat little package, and sent me more than i asked for.
I've just finished my transaction with ollieb over the down time 40Konline just had, and it went smoothly. He's a very nice & fair trader. I highly recommend him.
Well its been 2 months+ since I posted a money order (which was cashed) to Ghost Construct (Evan Elliot). I have tried numerous PM's (no reply) to contact him as well as e-mails (returned); therefore at this point I am officially stating that I will no longer do business with him as he is unreliable.
Ghost Construct -aka- Evan Elliot is a bad trader.
Thank god this was not a large purchase on my part, $35.00 US + Fees for money order.

It seems that Seer in the Dark has no intentions of trying to fix my problem. I've sent him multiple PMs, and he has done nothing to try and locate my lost Wraithlord. As of now he is refusing to reply to me, and has ignored my last PM and the post above. He has ripped me off, and I could have used the heavy weapon teams I sent him in my own conversions.

So, the only legal action that can be taken is against Dragon and not our site. But, that would be a little over the top considering it's something that can, and will, be edited out with ease.
But as we said an apology will come once the trading problems has been taking care of.

This was the first time we had a trading and I think it won't be the only! The communication with him was smooth, excellent and friendly.

I made a trade with catachan devil sniper about one month ago.I had about the same problem, I got my stuff, but not as pictured (very messed up) he also sent back some of the things I traded minus some parts... very bad list, I strongly considered legal action.
Sent him nearly 400$ worth of imperial guard tanks and eldar pieces.

I have made a transaction with him and he proved his worth. He sent the package swiftly and rather safely. It was not his mistake for the battered models inside as the postal offices are not treating packages so well... The communication with him was friendly, understanding and quick and I have to point out that he even refunded part of the shipping charges as they were lower than expected.
I know for sure that in the future I can rely on biglaw22 for a Good trading.
As for the Catachin Devil Sniper thing. I have traded with him in the past and was good to me. Sent me everything we talked about and not damaged.

That makes 3 strikes (or 4) with Catachin Devil Sniper. I attempted one trade a while back for a bunch of eldar and tau, but made him send first. Stuff not nearly as pictured, so I sent it all back. Telling him why, and making sure he knew what he'd done wrong, and giving him a break as this was his first trade attempt.
Did a simul-send trade more recently:
A large sum of my chaos for his eldar (I didn't include the Chaos codex included with the trade, and waited until my items arrived to send it, in case he never sent. Or as it turned out, he didn't send half the stuff or it was damaged before he sent it like the first time).
Several of the things pictured never showed, and others were not as described. An example is the 18 or so metal storm guardians having mostly plastic arms, leaving out a dire avenger, and a farseer. Also a vyper which wasn't damaged in the photo was damaged. He then claimed they were never part of the deal, I showed PMs and posts stating otherwise, leading him to try to change the deal:
He send me a bunch of plastic guardians and me send the "forgotten" codex. I told him he'd get the codex when I got the rest of my stuff. I haven't heard from him since.
I'd like to note that JoeEdmark and Chaplain Swordwind are both good traders.
I had previously posted that I would not reccommend deathklok's painting service to anyone. I stand by that 100 percent. It took me two weeks of calling and threatening to get him to finally give me back my property. He had hardly touched the work I gave him after six months and two thousand dollars. Message me for pictures of what he sent me, it is a nightmare. Broken plastic bits, poorly painted models, and I even paid him for some model kits he never even got for me... I have nothing to show for all that money and time. I was lucky apparently to even get my property back as he could not afford to pay to have it sent to me, or so that was the excuse he used. I would characterize his work ethic as non-existent and he swindled me out of my money and now doesn't have any plans to pay me back. Do not use his painting service!!!! The photos speak for themselves if you are curious, I'm posting this on all of his recent posts so maybe he will get the message that I am not someone to con or swindle.
If there are more of us maybe we can get him banned from the forums, if not for being a con-artist, then at least as a bad business person.I really am not trying to get involved, but your wanted "consequences" seem unrelated to the issue. From what i see, and I may be wrong, but It doesn't seem like he is breaking any forum rules. I know this is kinda weak, but maybe focusing on things other the getting him banned would be better.
