Aaaargh.... this bleedin' vow. I've moved no further. Been busy with so many thing including my terrain project.

I'm going to concentrate on getting the wolf guard finished. Maybe get some done this weekend - hopefully finish it. I will move straight back onto the grey hunters after that.

Looks like I might be getting named and shamed at the end.  :'(

Latest pic - hull and bits, just the details and one or two odd bits to do now. Hoping to finish on time!

I'm down to gems and decals on my wraithlord. Pics soon.

edit: Woke up at 5 this morning, couldn't go back to sleep. Vow complete  :-\

Letting it cure overnight, then will do varnish. I'll post pics when it's clearcoated.

Done! I must admit that I lost a bit of enthusiasm for this one when I saw the new Wraithlord box, but I'm overall pleased with it. The shoulder weapon is mounted with magnets for easy swappage.

Hull gems and edging are done except for the bigger stones, and the cockpit is assembled. I'm trying to work out a way to magnetise the turret weapons, but if that doesn't happen I'll just blutack them on...

must you dick around with photoshop loydb? looks like an illustration now. You're spoiling all the WIP fun.

Umm, the only thing done in photoshop was the background knocked out and a small dropshadow (well, and resized down from 12 megapixels.) Sorry if it bothers you, but I fail to see how a dusty backdrop enhances the image.

edit: Is it the dropshadow that bugs you? Is this better?
edit2: Great ghosts btw, Marshall

ah, I thought you had photoshopped the actual mini. the 2nd photo looks more real. I think it was the black outline and grey background that made it look like a cartoon or illustration. It doesn't bother me as such, just thought it detracted from your painting.

I think anything airbrushed tends to look a lot more "illustrated". I'm not a fantastic artist, but I started airbrushing scale models (planes mostly) over 20 years ago, so I can put down a nice coat or two if I put my mind to it. It's not really practical for human-sized figures, but it rocks for vehicles...

I can see your point about the dropshadow, it makes the whole thing look like it was blacklined. Look in the thread on airbrush paint, there's a picture of it sitting amidst some paint bottles that's the most "real" I guess.

I think I will be failing this month...

I got distracted painting other models instead.
