Show us your work space !
« on: November 30, 2008, 10:52:08 PM »
Hey guys !

Throw in a pic and show us your working/hobby area !

Is it clean?
Messy?
Covered in plates from last nights snack?

Throw up a pic as it currently is - or you can be sneaky and clean it up if you are too embarrassed  :D

Here is my contribution:

Its a computer/hobby desk !

No food, just models and bitz. It's less of a room then a closet in my closet. I have pinned up lots of mementos on the walls since these pictures were taken, they are quite old now. Looks roughly the same though.

That's just the work space itself. Above and just out of shot is the Paint Tower. To the left lie the Sprue Pile and Bitz Column. Directly behind and under the bed are the Bitz Bins.

My room is pretty much entirely devoted to Warhammer, most of the flat surfaces have models on them.

I have no work space. Due to small children, my working area is the small number of models I am working on at a time, on top of my paintbox, on top of my tallest shelf. I deploy to work, then pack away each evening.

Incidentally, the rest of my stuff packs down to one small cupboard (again, 6 foot off the ground!), two carefully packed boxes of terrain (usually in my loft), a large GW case jammed down behind my sofa and a 6x4 board in sections that lives under my sofa.

You guys who live with your parents and can spread out over your entire bedroom, enjoy your space. I have less space for hobbies now than when I was 15, and nothing is safe left out.

Lol, quoted for truth.

I usually build and paint my stuff in my study. All minis are safely locked away. The scratchbuilding part of the hobby is done in the basement.

Dude, I dream of having a study. Or a basement. I'd settle for a shed.

I really need to organize mine, I have to cram all my other projects further back on my desk to make room for the next one. It is is my garage, which is quite peaceful when I want to paint. There is also a stereo not pictured, and I can blast my Ipod through it when needed. The three boxes on the chair are filled to the rim with sprues I am too lazy to clean out.

This is my rather messy table (Scissors do not belong..).
This big flat square thing is a wet palet, currently closed

and this is a storage space behind my back

Last month's Painting Challenge vow of 20 Orks
Remote control for my stereo
Deodorant (very essential)
Alarm clock of Noisy Annoying Doom
Beanie lizard
A couple of dead AAA batteries

...it's kinda like a Where's Wally picture  ;D

Looking at all your pictures I've suddenly realised why I don't seem to make any progress. My table is far to neat and tidy and there's not enough WIP.
