i heard somewhere that my sentinels can shoot and run like battlesuits? is this true?

And the answer is NO...

EDIT - However, sentinels can perform Move & shoot in the same turn but not the other way round...

Sentinels move as walkers as described in the BGB.  Tau Battlesuits have all sorts of funny movement thanks to their jetpacks, wich sentinels most certainly do not have.

I don't know where you heard that because that is not true, sentinals can only move then shoot not shoot then move
