Thanks for your advice guys.  I will look into the whole Telion thing.  Either way, my friend appears to like the idea of the biker list with a couple of sniper troops to lay down some suppressive fire.

My I suggest an idea to shift your theme slightly from just scouts to something akin to Army Rangers. It fits the army of unique and specialist marines working together on some SPECOPS mission: snipers, bikers, sternguard. There is a player in my gaming group that plays something similar and it's fun to play with and against. Just food for thought really.

Aye Kekron, thats what he is kinda going for.  I like the idea of a list based around scouts, bikers and sternguard.  Hopefully in the end there's enough models to give the army a spine, otherwise with low model counts, they are asking to get chewed up.

Well to be honest it seems that an army along this theme is more of a fun army and not one that a player can expect to win 100% of the time with. The player I know that uses such an army has like a 1-3 win ratio with that army, or something to that regard. So it isnt uber, but its fun which is the point.

One quick comment about this Biker list.

I think everybody is assuming this, but in the original post which diverted this to a Biker List, there is no mention of Kor'Sarro Kahn, who I believe is necessary to turn your SM Bike Squads into troop choices.

I only mention it because you do need him and whilst moderately cheap for a "Custom Character" he does still need to be paid for.

Captain with a bike suffices to get bikers as troops. Khan is not necessary, but he is almost a no brainer when making a bike list because of FC and HnR.

Even though it might be above the 1750 pt budget, but you can field sternguard as elites, scouts as troops and bikers as fast attack with a biker captain (making the bikers troops and scoring) and Kantor (making the sternguard scoring). This will allow you to basically field every unit in your army, minus HQ and any heavies, as scoring units. Not going to lie here, this is a scary idea of fielding so many scoring units and I would believe to be actually pretty viable.

Thank you Sun Captain Radient for pointing out that a Captain on a Bike allows Bikes to be taken as Troops. For anybody else who missed that it is on pg. 132 in a little text box a third the way down on the left.

Now it seems to me that if a Captain on a Bike allows Bikes to be taken as troops, then a Captain in Terminator Army should allow .....

     .....  anybody found that rule yet?? Just thought I would throw it in just in case there is anybody from GW monitoring this site
