Holy Gorko!!!! How old are those orks? 10 years? almost 15? I still can remember them from a friend, but I did not see them for a long time. Good stuff anyway. It is always a pleasure seing those old models.

The nob conversion is really good. I would have liked more with a Power Claw, but tha double chainsword also is really good.

The only thing I'm not completely sure about, is the combination of a new style nob with the old style orks. Wouldn't it be better to convert and old fashion or into a nob? For what I have seen in your works you have good skills with Green Stuff, and also you seem to have a lot of ork bits, soit shouldn't be that difficult.

Thanks and an Old School conversion up to Knob Status has crossed my mind... but I can do one later if I find another Goeff Ork to play with (ha ha)...

OK here are the updates on the latest Trukk.
Trakk system starting, and the Frame... Flip the front end over...

OK, I found the Trakk system a little too long, so it got trimmed as I added the third Wheel (trakks come next after I booil them to bend into shape)... I also got the Engine put together, flipped the exhausts to fit them in there with the frame etc, and actually got it all to work well enough so far. Here are todays pics.

I like the Idea of the crazy Rims for the Trakk system, and the size feels good for now; bit it will be triky to fit the axle etc and get the rear wheels to fit a the right height.... once that is done I will proceed onto the Cab and Engine bonnet (was thinking of using the 33 Fords bonnet to go over the enging with a spare Grill I have as well (Hot-Rod-ish)... the Cab will be tricky though, so any ideas are welcome.

Comments and Critiques are always welcome.

Cheers

The Mek Boyz have been very busy, and the second Trukk is aproching its concept.

I added the Tracks, and built the front cab up including the driver and gunner (on the box)... but I also gave them doors and an engine bonnet (still need to do left side exhaust).. I then added the rear cargo box (with O:nks garbage trukk idea stuck in my brain ~ btw) by using the Rhino and cutting it up a fair bit (more room inside, etc)... I also added side panels to match the wheel wells and few other tidbits here and there.

I still need to do the roll bars and a few other items, but the basic concept is there now... Ork Garbage Trukk built for the snow. Oh and I think that I will do cam nets over the Roll Bars of both Trukks using first aid Gauss, so they look more imposing but are still "Open Topped"

Here are the pics.

Comments, suggstions, critiques are always welcome... Sorry they are a bit fuzzy, I'll work on improving that for the next ones.

Cheers.

Awesome idea that turned out very well.  That is a very cool-looking konversion, moc065.  :D

Perfect. The pictures aren't great, but what I see, I like.

Those pictures are a pity, altough it seems that the model is really on the good direction. Also I can see the pictures we were posting have definitively been a good base for inspiration.

Cannot wait to see the warboss tracked bike...

Woo, I think I missed this thread.

I love the bikers Moc.
I'm not feeling the trukk, but I'm sure it will look 'smashing' after it's done and more Orkified.

My 7 Cents.

Thanks for the replies guys... The trukk sorta grew bit by bit, and with the Cam net, etc it looks a lot better. Its near completion now, even added suito working side doors ,,, (so pics will be soon)...

Warboss is also coming along: used another Defkopta, but wheels/trakks/something creative will happen. Also used the AOBR Boss, so its been tricky to get him to fit (cut more off and Greenstuff should do it though ~ again pics will come soon)

Cheers

Both trukks are done. Here they are Primed

I like the Herse style shifter,
The fact that its not all glued so painting won't be to bad,
All the doors actually work, and the hinges are unique and I think there Orky,
It still looks like a trukk, but has the garbage truck and snow machine incorperated,
And the two of them are about the same size, and very different from each other.

Feel free to comment, and the Warboss work has already begun (pics soon).

Thanks guys, I really do appreciate the comments.

Work on teh Warboss has progressed well, with the front end of the bike near completion, and the boss coming along well enough so far, I even found a little stash of Tracks I had tucked away, so the rear end should go well enough.

I am also building the Shoota boys to go into the second trukk; thus I should have the first 1K done, for the Newly renovated
Bluu in da Phaes
Incedentally, I was thinking of keeping the army mostly white... Red flames on vehicles of course (so they can go faster). And the Orks being a lighter shade of green... Bluu in da Phaes of course (so they look meaner ~ its their power colour).

More pics in a day or two, as I am renovating the dining room as well.

Cheers

Update

Here are the boyz to go into the second trukk

(157) Boyz - 12; Shootaz all around, 1 Big Shoota, 1 Knob wit Powa Klaw and da Boss's pole {Trukk wit red paint}

Here is da start of da Warboss's Bike.

Note dat I used da skids for his steering, the old rotars are for da trakks to go onto, and I will use anuder set or two for da front end of da trakk. I also have da handle bars done and da boss's torso chopped (for the most part)... and I think that its starting to gets its own feel and look to it already; but tell me what you think.

Once da Boss is done, I will have 1K built... then its on to some paint, while I continue the builds with a squad of Defkopta's, two more squads of boyz (in boots), a Big Mek, some killa kans, maybe some Kommandos, and some Grots (as I have 30 or so of the olde metal ones laying around still). Oh and I will try and do as much as possible from the AOBR box sets, as this is a Cheap army build.

Comments and suggestions always welcome.

Cheers

Good job. This army is really becoming very interesting. It's incredible how useful AoBR models are. By the way, is the bike going to be tracked?

The Warboss is most certainly going to be trakked.... And here is the proff, as I actually finished him. (he is primed white now too; but you get the ides)

He is pinned and a fair bit of greenstuff was needed to get his waste and wrist to match up decently...

I will also post some pics of the units, and the army as it stands... at 1K.

I really tried to stikk to AOBR for many of the items, and aside from the old Geoff Orks (which I love) and some Grots (which I happen to have), I will build as much as I can from AOBR as to keep it cheap...

But now I am off to continue to build it up to 1250, 1500, 1750 +++ as I feel the need for about 2500 pts of Orkies eventually. 5 Deffkopta's, 30 shoota's, 20 slugga's, Big Mek w/KFF, half dozen Killa Kans, 15 Kommandos includine Snikrot, some Grots, and any thing else I have the bits left over to do up... when all that is done.. I should have enough to do some Knobs, or Loota's too; but their way in the future...

Comments, suggestions, etc.. at always welcome.

Cheers.
