Hello, again
« on: March 31, 2016, 05:45:16 AM »
Hi
I decided before easter to start paint my eldar (Craftworld), and with some new bottles of paint, and try getting the half finished army I left years ago.
I think i need to learn how to pain properly, drybrushing, techniques, etc.
And get started to play with them  :)

Welcome back :).

If you're looking for some tips to improve your painting skills, I'd recommend taking a look at the techniques section in this thread.  There are a lot of useful topics listed there, so hopefully you'll be able to find some useful advice there.  If not, you're welcome to ask for tips in the Painting board.

Hi

I joined originally on the old Eldar Online forum, before the merger.

Wow you are quite old for a newbie. Is your sudden interest in getting your Eldar on the table anything to do with how good they seem to be nowadays?

I imagine your list of unread topics since your last visit must be huge!

I'm curious if he means the old black and yellow EldarOnline that required a pop-up blocker to even be remotely navigatable, or the old EldarOnline / 40k.ca combo site?
If there is anything that recent politics has taught us, it is that quotes taken out of context can mean what ever you want them to.
Well I always liked the globals...

The membership number would be from around the 40K.ca days.

First one. I remember the merger, and had to make a new account afterwards, i think.

Oh I know.  The forums haven't been changed since that day.  Hell, I think if you were dedicated enough, you could go way back in time and read the first post that Raine made.  Although it may be easier to just pull up his profile and look through his post history.  There are only a few dozen posts that he has made :P

Always good to see some old blood returning to the fold!  Welcome back!
