Update:
DC marine finished except for highlighting, but that won't be too major.

HG marine w/ bp, ccw, jump pack in progress.  Jump pack is only primed, model is otherwise painted (but not done with highlighting) barring a few small details.  (I glue major components after painting, because i hate how some components constrict my ability to accurately paint areas - i also paint the arms separately until i'm down to things to do at the distal ends).

Rest received 'unexpected' conversions, but are ready for painting - i suck about just assembling models, converting/planning is almost more fun than painting.  Actually, above HG marine has an arm rotation at the upper arm done as well, so i suppose its also mildly converted.

Edit: pics coming after i figure out how to get good mini-pictures with my new digital camera.

Stripped and reprimed my agonizer.  Going to need another primer coat though.  Also painted and dipping the cyclops.  Turned out very nicely.  A bit heavy in a few areas, but looks good for a test model.

Finished Cyclops.  Excuse the bad photos/bad photo cropping.  Yes, I dipped him.  Yes, I like how dipped models look.  I forgot to shake him and only wiped the paint off so there's some heavy spots, but otherwise I think he looks amazing.  I will dull cote him eventually.  I would like suggestions for basing him too.  Forgive the large pictures.

EDIT: Other progress updates.  Try airbrushing the bloodclaws.  Didn't work to well.  The paint divided into the pigments and turned blue-green.  Now I have some very odd colored bloodclaws.

I'm done.  I got lazy and decided to make an immolator/rhino just by making the top portion interchangeable.  Also, the weapons on the immolator has been magnetized so that I could change the weapons, though I really double I'll ever use the multimelta and turn the immolator vehicle into a really overpriced rhino.

Week Two Progress report. I'm really sad this week turned out to be way more busy than I thought (back in school, tournament on saturday and homework all of sunday). None-the-less there is progress made, pictures of which you can find below.

First, the Shining Spears (of which I seem to be signed up for an extra one somehow... ???)

Then we've got the Autarch

And the Scorpion (with models to scale in the last picture)

So still lots to do (especially on the scorpion, who as you can see has lots of black lines that need to be filled in still.

Okay I admit I went camera-happy, I'll try and keep it to fewer pictures next time ;)

WOW WOW WOW Dj of E that is easily the best vehicle i have ever seen, its so clean and the paint job so crisp and sharp, nice work with making it interchangeable

have you got any advise how you got your paint soo mooth and crisp over such large flat areas??

progress for me is really really slow at the moment, i cant seem to find any motivation, plus im waiting to start my new eldar army next month for the tale of X Gamers thread

@DJ of E  very nice work, the 'Eavy Metal team should be in awe of your talent.

@Valar i have found that using a flat horse hair brush combined with thinned down foundation paints provide smoothe coats. it could also be the paint he uses as well. i have recently began using Reaper Master paints and the way the paint lays and dries compared to GW paint is astounding.

with GW paint if i dont water it down enough the brush strokes start showing on the paint, with reaper its so smooth you cant feel or see a difference from the painted on areas to the spray primered areas. my only qualm with reaper is its a tad thin for my liking but i have been experimenting with putting down a foundation paint and then going over it with thinned down reaper and its working, i might try mixing the foundation paint with the reaper to achieve a color i want that doesnt show through.

if anyone who uses reaper master paints has any advice or tips on painting without it streaking or showing through id appreciate it, so far its been an adventure ( my test jetbike is in dire need of a consistant coat of paint )

Yeah, my vow went out the door.  So much for painting the devastator Squad!  I haven't even assembled them and instead went to work on other guys.  Got lots done this month though!
