Topic: 2k can wall ???with buggies???

hi guys i currently play my kans at 1.5k i wanna take them up to 2k but i wanna drop the koptas so i came up with this list

 basically its a kan wall with rokkit buggies instead of the greeen barons (deffkoptas with rokkit and buzzsaw)and extra lootas

 do you think the rokkit buggies could work i was thinking they will be easier to keep alive in kill points and a better distraction then the koptas but also cost an extra 45 points per unit meaning 9 less lootas is the trade of worth it?

buggies do work as a distraction, speed bump, or vehicle hunting role plus can contest outer objectives.  With that many buggies they could support almost a hybrid list build in which a mounted squad might help out in a forward push.   I have recently been toying with a few hybrid lists and they seem to be playing out pretty well in all honesty. 

Small loota squads can work decent.  The only thing that may be a problem is having enough open fire lanes for them especially with that amount of bodies.  Though you can always but them close together but you might have to watch out for ordinance which in theory could send 2 squads running.   

The list is a decent kan wall build the only real problem is with the new kff rules will make it harder to keep all your kans in KFF range.

i know of the faq and i have always played my kanwall that way anyway so it is not really an issue
i am glad you like the idea of buggies in the list i hope it works for me i shall await others oppinions before i spend my time making so many buggies

and hopefully someone will offer me some tactics

I like the buggies, you will be surprised at how good armor 10 really is. A squad of three is really good at taking out most things armor 12 or less, and are fair at armor 13, and not so much at 14 (unless you have really good dice). Three squadrons of three will be great, and should serve you well. However, I still like the green baron, so I run two squadrons of three rockit buggies and a green baron. Since you haven't purchased/built the buggies yet then maybe you could take two squads and keep a death copta for green baron work.

Now, are you aware of the Rayvn70 buggy? If not check out his conversion Here This way you don't have to spend any more money, just convert your coptas into buggies. A word to the wise; don't do the happy dance at the dollar store when you go to buy wheels. ( Looted Bikers )

Your list is very similar to mine, been running a buggy and kan list for a long time now, very effective, lots of rokkits, gives that speed to my slow horde army to fly across board and contest objectives, very useful and very effective. The usefulness of them goes on and on. Once they have achieved their goal they become the cheese in a smurf trap!
