I think the dark Eldar wyches heads might help you with the head option but the insanity of wanting to paint a face. Good for you haha, helmets forever. Can't wait to see your decision.

Maybe some of bits from the new howling banshee kit might work better>

I'm sure you can find some off ebay :).

The problem with the banshee heads is the hair, there is just too much of it, so it hits the super sized collor or what ever you call it lol but I did try it, great minds think alike :)

Yeah I think this but the bone in the hair keep throughing me a bit, I kind of want Lhamaean's head with the long braided hair, buts its all part of the model from memory and it has its own poped collar lol.

There's the warrior that's in the raider kit that rides on the left front side that has a braid. Check her out.

G'day, Magenb!
Perused through your progress from the last few pages and, WOW, you're doing amazing work.
The odd rogue trader guardian had some interesting heads if you don't mind a lead head on a plastic body, or chopping up a classic!... Pointy ears forever!!

Hey Saim-Dann good to see you back again :)

I've updated the spear, and tried another Head, still a bit angry, but I think its the best head I can find in my bits pile.

Tried a few helmets, but yeah, it just looks off with the bare shoulders and the suit.

Still making progress on my Tau, as well, heading into the home stretch now, so, maybe a couple of weeks away from throwing some dice with them :)

Awesome work, Mage  :)!

That Vior'la army looks freakin' sweet! Everything looks incredibly sleek and clean!

I think a Yvraine head would have been perfect, but those are kind of hard to come by, I would think.

Yes, I just can't find any one selling the Yvraine head, well that hasn't sold out lol.

I might have to try a transplant on my Yvraine since I don't use it, GW just seems to be doing a disney on the lore to try and get them to work.

Just about finished some more bases, will put some dry tuffs on after the models go on. The Circles are for the Tau missile turrets.

soooo many drones...

Those bases are great! Did you sculpt that cracked earth yourself?

hmmm cookies...

Magnetized, crisis suits, will more than likely be playing a 5th ed game first up, so I want to try a flamer setup to cook some green fungi :)

no, I use this cracking medium, the GW stuff doesn't stick very well so its terrible to dry brush. The big bottle cost about the same as the little GW bottle down here.

We don't get a lot of products down here, but there are heaps of other options for cracking paints and pastes in Europe and USA.

Ah that makes sense; it looks very natural but I've never seen cracks that large with the GW stuff. I usually apply it over a thin coat of dried PVA and that helps it stick; but I'll look into some similar kind of crackle medium for sure.

I had a lot of fun playing Tau during 5th edition; they were my first 40k army. The 5th edition rules really rewarded a playstyle that revolved around mobile firepower, which I found really enjoyable.

Wow they really beefed up the size of the commander, the little guy resting on the blue glue bottle is the old commander.

Starting to look like a Sydney train in peak hour...

Atleast its been fairly consistent, 1500 points is roughly 2 shelves in a detolf (Ikea) display case.

That is a wonderful looking army,I'm getting jealous just by looking at it. :)

Those new commanders are a good bit bigger indeed, and the kit looks like a lot more fun to build than the old one.
