A red death from above-Blood Angels WIP
« on: October 18, 2011, 05:02:46 AM »
The past few years have been a slow and long hell for my Blood Angels. I painted them up only to find them horrible when I viewed the works of others on the internet. So I stripped them, and painted them again this time using different techniques. I have collected almost everything I need for my army, I just need some basing material, a few extra bits and some more paint. Here's a list of my army that I wish to paint up:

2 librarians with jump packs
10 honour guard
10 vanguard veterans
30 assault marines
2 sanguinary priests

Hopefully, by setting up this blog, I will be less lazier (I hope!) and be more active in the painting of my army. Here are some pics:

A librarian

One of the assault marines I haven't come round to stripping yet.

Assault marine sergeant with thunderhammer. He's meant to have an infernus pistol, does anyone have any ideas on how I could model one on?

Yep, that's a mould line. Not a brain tumour, I better clean it off soon.
That's everything I have to show so far, tell me what you think and also check out my blog: http://greenfarseer.blogspot.com

I really love the look of the glaive encarmine. The color choicvec is very nice (on the sword and the model).

I like the effect on the Librarian's sword. As for the pistol, couldn't you just mount it on the hip?

Thanks for all your replies! I'd love to put librarian's pistol in a holster but chopping off the angelus boltgun attached to his arm seems daunting. Plus, I personally think the gun looks cooler that way (i'm counting it as a bolt pistol)

I have two reasons for posting (we have a projects board?)

1) Moral Support- Its coming along pretty good.

2) Do you thin your metallics?
Victory- a delicious recipe of timing, confidence, audacity, intelligence... and having more warm bodies than the other guy.
