Topic: 2000pt Iyanden

This is an Iyanden force I'm getting ready to field. It's almost all painted (working on the last Wave Serpent now) and is a mix of my 3e Iyanden army and newer models I've painted up over the last few months.

I've broken the force into two: Offense and Defense. Spearhead stays back and the Vanguard moves forward. Both D-Scythe units are in a Wave Serpent with Shuriken Cannons. One of the Wraith Cannon units is in the Twin-BL Wave Serpent along with the Spirit Seer. The final Wraith Cannon unit will arrive via Web Way portal. If I really need to do some Big Game hunting with Wraith Cannons I'll have both units converge on the target and use Guided Wraithsight. D-Scythe's are hunting infantry.

On defense the Farseer is supporting the Dark Reapers. Guardians are capping an objective. The Wraithlords are patrolling to the mid-line and are reacting to deep strikers. They don't have Ghostglaives and I'm not sure where I'd find the 30pts for them. I'll have to see how they do without them first.

Hello Z_Opinionator,

My thoughts on your List are:

1. An Autarch is a better and cheaper support character than a Farseer. I’d use a Farseer for a precise chirurgic execution. Good examples are: Fire Dragons, Warp Spiders.

2. I would use rangers to cap objectives and to disrupt DS/ Alphastrike lists

3. Vectored Engines and BL have no synergy

Great point regarding the Autarch. I've already dropped the FS and added a standard Autarch to the list. Saved enough points to add the Glaives to the 3 Wraithlords. I'm playing around with dropping the Reaper Exarch and going with a Shuriken Cannon on each Wraith Lord instead. Dropped the Vectored Engines on the last WS as well.

Dark reaper launcher is the better all round weapon for the exarch and is now cheaper than the AML.

BL on the wave is rather an odd duck, as the CTM upgrade means it only works on the closest target. I would consider swaping them for Starcannons.

If you drop the BL to starcannons and AML to reaper launcher, you prob have enough points to upgrade one of the other waves with CTM and starcannons.
