You could try the scheme for Lotheren Sea Guard from the UK WD 294.

Howdy -this is good.  There is nothing like a deadline to get the paint flowing.  Usually an upcoming tourney or important battle is what it takes for me to really pump things out at a rate faster than my usual snails pace.  This is a good way to incite a little friendly competition with the ultimate goal (painted minis) as the impetus.  Although there is no reward, there is still the sense of achievement of fulfilling your vow of paintedness in front of the crazy extended gaming community that is this site.  As such I will make some pledges.
The Lysander terminator teleport section of my imperial fists army.
Four man terminator squad
Six man Assault terminator squad
Terminator chaplain
Terminator Librarian
Lysander
The terminators are all converted and embellished to an extent that would make Dorn proud.  Although it seems like a small amount of minis I would be damn impressed if I pulled it off.  These are elites and will be painted accordingly.  Unfortunately I'll be away for some of this time so I don't know if I'll be able to finish the librarian and Lysander to the degree I would want to -don't want to rush it.  Also @ the 15th I'll have no way of posting pics as I won't have a camera (not like I have one now) or an easily accessible computer.  As such I might bail and wait until the next one -I'll figure it out.
If I don't bail by the 22nd count me in
Later  WG

Well I'm probally going to humiliate myself, but what the Heck!

I Pledge my converted SMurf Commander/Knight dude. I may also get a 6 Man Tactical Sqaud done, but these aren''t part of my Pledge.

Now the problem I have isn't the Painting, it's the 'getting good pics onto the net' thing!

Ok, I've updated all the various pledges. I had a good weekend, even though I didn't get anything painted. My 11-year-old niece helped me build 3 wave serpents (she actually completely did 2 of them). I'll start a thread about it in modelling, it's a good story.

3 weeks left and no way of getting to a place that sells paint, or black spray...

I might have to change my pledge...

It's the basic Codex color, with Shadow Grey as the "random plate" color. So, Shadow Grey on things like the knee-pads, shoulder-guard etc. And perhaps an off white coloured helmet...but that'll probably be optional.

I don't see why not. Don't they count (as individuals) as an elite choice?

I sadly need to change my vow due to conversion work disasters!

It will now be a 6 Man Tactical squad and maybe a 5 man Termi squad!

I'm soooo behind. I'm going to have to scramble, gonna be out of town the next 4 days.

So far I have the wave serpent built, the purple basecoat down, and a couple of test figs at about 80%, plus some yellow armor basing on a couple of others.

Im in the 80% range on mine, I may be adding more as I have a Kharn, a sorc, and a 2 missle havocs needing paint... As well as 5 raptors. But that is too much for me I think.

Might do the raptors for feb 15th, and try to get kharn or the lord in for jan 15th, or jan 30th.

Well I can proudly say that I have completed my goal for the month. My 2 Bezerkers are done, and I may even be able to get the Behemoth done to. Once I can get my hands on a Camera(ours is in the shop right now), I can take a few cruddy pictures.
