What do you think of him? I play Salamanders, I am going for a darker look than usual.

well i think that the paint looks a bit thick, but that might just be the photo, it probably looks decent in real life

what sorta camera did you use ,some cameras just arent meant for 40k, u know the saying, the camera adds 10 pounds.....

Actually, the paint is thick. You see, my brother had undercoated it, painted it Blood Angels, then I had to undercoat in black, and then paint them with Dark Angels Green, so it has 4 layers.

Marines are thick anyways... so it works well

He'd look a lot better with a railgun hole right through that soft centre though... time for a conversion courtesy of the Tau.

he looks good for your first SM. It can take a while to get the hang to highlighting power armour so it looks good. Nex time use the new models, they look 1000x better

Ya, I know. These are the models that come in the box of 5. The suck some big time ass. I have 3 Tactical squads of the new ones though.

A) Thats your first SM? Wow, pretty good! You should see mine..Im not guna upload it as its so badly painted it could kill.

B)About the tick thing: Space Marine Power armor has a 3+ save so it should eb thick. Lol.

C) Id sure love to see those squads...When you paint em upload em and post em! They'll be good.

D) The lighting is really good on him..Youve taken mini pics before?

B) Ya, but you should see this thing I dropped it from a 2-story building onto concrete and nothing happened.

C) All I have painted so far is this guy and a Sergeant; when I finish I'll be sure to post it!

I don't like u . My fist Dark Angel was bad 'cause I didn't have DA green (I had to mix instead), but once I got DA green I painted a marine and it was the best model I'd ever painted. Now I think I'm gonna cry 'cause you  put mine to shame so badly. "Sob" But then again I don't have boltgun metal or varnish and I'm scraping what little chaos black I can off the bottom of the pot...

Ahhh...i remember my very first figure. Black Templar Space Marine...*sigh*...those were the days. Now i suck even more then i did then. *double sigh*  

Problem is, i never got the balls to highlight like you really need to go to get that nice look. I was always worried (AND STILL AM) about screwing up the model and the time i already invested. Aint a very good painter am i?

Actually, I mess up a lot. Just go over the spots where you slipped and make it look like it never happened.
