Ok, quick question, 270 pts to spend on a DA army.

So far:
Company master and chaplain with jump packs and a few bits

2 x 5-man tactical squads with plasma and meltaguns

Drednought with missile launcher and TL Lascannon

2 x 5-man assualt squads

Devastator squad with 3 Missile launchers and a heavy bolter with a predator with autocannon adn sponson lascannons

where should the points go?
-massive scout squad with loads of sniper rifles?
-Land raider?
-Ravenwing squad with all the trimmings?
-Deathwing squad will all the trimmings?
-or 2 more 5-man tactical squads with some points left over?

Im thinking a ravenwing squad to support the assualt marines and their accompanying characters?

An LR should transport Assault Termies, and you already have tactical squads.
In order to add some tactical variety, I opt for either an RW or DW squad.
You should decide after play testing.

Another fast supporting element would not be a bad idea. On the other hand, you can't really go wrong with more marines. There is something to be said for mechanising your force by adding about 2 Rhinos and 10 more Tactical Marines. You should have the points left over to give the veteran sargents some decent wargear, ie powerswords, powerfists, plasma-pistols.

2 ten man tac squads with Rhinos, plasma, melta, kitted veterans and perhaps a cheap heavy weapon (missle launcher, HB, multi-melta) should be your bread and butter. With the combat squad rules these guys are tremendously flexible, able to support a gunline, or go forward with your assualt marines, providing them mobile cover
