legion of the damned useing daemonhunter rules?
« on: March 25, 2007, 08:28:35 PM »
hello all been awhile since i did anything space marine related but i'm looking at starting a legion of the damned army. I'm wondering if useing the grey knights rules for the army would be fitting (small specialised force uber tough, and the shrouding rule and the aegis rules would be great for imitating the LotD ghost fluff) or should i use the traits "see, but don't bee seen" and "trust your battle brothers" with the major drawback of "flesh over steel".
what do you guys think?
to help grow the game, teach the clueless,
guide the  unruly, and mentor the lost.
And if that doesn't work, club them like baby seals.

I believe the spot is further down, but im kind of confused you want to play a "latd" with knight rules. Or a daemonhunter army, with latd quirks?

That's quite a nice way of playing LoTD Bolterboy. As you said, aegis and shrouding works well for them, as does deepstriking marines; not sure about all the S6 weapons though....

I've never found anything that I thought fit better than the old 3rd ed. rules, but as far as tourny legal lists go, those are both decent ways to go.

Best idea is to make a few sample lists, and playtest them. Find what will suit your playing style the best.
