It's a fine list, no doubt about that.

I can't really find a fault with it. All your squads look pretty well optimised.

You have a good grasp of the strengths and weaknesses of the Guard, Inferno and your lists reflect this fact.

You've got all bases covered here.

50 Conscripts with 5 flamers and a Commissar with a Powerfist are going to hurt alot of things and the rest of your army is just as lethal at long and medium range. That creates a nice dilemma for your enemy. Does he shoot everything at the swarming conscripts and face your unmolested guns in the following turn? Or does he attack your more professional troops and then watch his lines get unglamourously massacred by 50 16 year olds and a screaming nutter?

And all this takes place while 2 very nice Melta squads drop in to turn his trump cards into molten slag.

Nice.

Drop the Heroic Senior Officer and put in a Junior Officer with a....whatchamacalli t...Honorifica Imperialis? The one that gives a model the stats of a HSO. It's 5 points cheaper.  :P

He is fairly short on AV14 strength so plasmas should stay.  Even though a commie is screened by 50 bodies he is still an Independant Character, with all that follows out of that.
I dont think the stormtroopers or vets need that commie either - upgrade to vet sarge to save points.
Get HB sponsons for the russes.

Thats about it

I wouldn't give the commissar a power fist, BTW - the worst thing you could do is be tempted to use it.  Let me explain:

1.  When one attaches a commissar to a unit of conscripts, it is generally to help the conscripts "stay in the action."
2.  The independent commissar is an independent character, meaning, that in melee:
         a) he can only hurt people if he is in base-to-base
         b) he can only be hurt if he is in base-to-base
3.  If the commissar dies, your squad will run.

Thus, should you get into melee, the LAST thing you want is for your commissar to get into base-to-base - indeed, don't move him in until you are forced to.  Giving him a powerfist is not only a waste of points, but actually makes the squad less survivable, as it both makes you more likely to get him inolved in the actual combat, and it makes an even bigger target for the people who do get into contact with him.

Absolutely golden advice Doc,

Truly.

Ditch the Power Fist. Give him a pink flower instead and model him in an 'Up Yours!' stance.
