so the competition ends the 23rd, does this mean we can work on the model on the 23rd and have to have pics sometime that day?

No, the poll will be going up on the 23rd probably in the afternoon/evening for me.  Considering I'm GMT that means you should aim to be done by the 22nd, unless you're Aus/far East.

Finished in time.  Was trying to get my hands on some greenstuff to do the job better, but the blu-tac works just fine.  Not as if anyone will notice once it's painted.

I've been finished for days, I'm just really lazy when it comes to getting all the pictures together and the like. Well, here's my new Chaos Lord.

First, the tagged picture:

Front:

His left side:

The other side:

A (unfortunately not very good, thanks to a slight time delay resulting in no more good lighting) rear shot:

Finally, with a generic CSM Dave:

The overall project was going to be a little bit more intensive, before I realized that the model was already getting a little bit cluttered up. If anyone's interested, I can detail exactly what I did to get here.

Ok he is done (well as much as I am doing)

one Warrior upgraded to a Pariah.

Start. (one basic Joe Warrior and some modeling bitz, etc)

Finish. (one basic Pariah and very little left over from the Warrior parts, aside from a bit of his gauss flayer)
  • Front Pic with Joe Warrior to show size relavance (size does matter)
  • View from the enemy being signaled to "Come Closer"
  • Close-up of legs and midsection...
  • Rear pic to shoe how he retained a lot of the Warrior features; but also has the Pariah size factor.

Comments and Criticism are always welcome, and I was going to play with the head some more; but in real life it actually looks better than in the Pics, as you can see the eyes, etc...

Also note that the Green Stuff is actually pretty smooth, as the picture shows colour differences in the mix (I don't mix well enough, I guess). Maybe I should have primed him and did a wahs to show the details, smooth parts etc... Oh well.. maybe next time.

well, i guess he can be considered finished.  he uses pieces from all the ork plastic kits except grots and a couple small ig(?) bits as well.  i had to pin basically every piece which was a bit of a hassle but i guess its worth it.

I'm disapointed i didn't know about this contest : but then again, i ordered parts for a conversion almost 3 weeks ago and nothing has yet to be received.

Good luck to all the contestants!

My guy is done at last, what great experience this has been, taught me a whole lot about using greenstuff and converting in general. Mad props to Lom for putting up the contest! Now I give you: The Damnation of Brother-Captain Veprius!

And the Ravenwing Sergeant as a Dave:

Not my best photo job, but it is my best attempt at a conversion to date and my first real attempt at greenstuffing. Hope you enjoy!

Final picture.  WOuld have gotten it up yesterday, but the internet is down at the house.

Updated.  Not too many people have voted yet so you shouldn't be affected too badly.
