The Fifth Element [highly recommended, even though it's old]
And Dogma.

Memento is presently holding the title as my favorite.

Also fond of Four Rooms, Reservoir Dogs, Cemetary Man, and a whole RAFT of others.

OK I was reading the thread and noticed that Raiders of the Lost Ark was not even on the top 10 of anybodies list.

I have alot of favorite movies so here are 10 in no particular order and have included a quote which comes to mind with each one.

Raiders of the lost Ark "I hate snakes!"
Empire strikes back "Laugh it up fuzzball" or was that star wars
Big Trouble in Little China "You know what I say when it's miller time?"
Akira "Kaneda!!!!"
Fist of Legend "Wait us old people need to warm up"(in subtitles
Usual Suspects "Lee Harvey Oswald was a f@@"
Army of Darkness "Listen up you primitive screwheads"
Gladiator "Husband to a murdered wife and father to a murdered son"
Bladerunner "Wake up. Time to Die"
Total Recall "see you at the party Richter!"
"We really shook the pillars of heaven this time, did'nt we Wang." Jack Burton

Well, not surprisingly, it looks like most of these lists are dominated by sf genre stuff.

Hmm...  My favorites (in no particular order and I am sure to forget some)

LotR (best sf/fantasy movie ever)
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
Jacob's Ladder
Pi
Moulin Rouge
Fight Club
Unbreakable
Princess Bride
Last of the Mohicans (favorite movie soundtrack too)
Contact
Anna and the King
Harold and Maude

Yeah, if I thought longer I could probably add a few more, but this is a pretty good core of my favorites...

>>>>Well, mine are similar to the rest of yours, but I'll go anyways.

in no order:

LoTR(come on December 2002, i want to see the next one!, The Matrix(can;t wait for the sequel, hope they don't screw this one up either), Gladiator, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Dumb and Dumber, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The Rock (with Sean Connery, Nick Cage), Life is Beautiful (one of the best forign films I have EVER seen, not bad for a drama/comdedy either!).  Star Wars(the trilogy is good, and the new phanton ones was ok, lets hope they don't screw the next one)

There we go,
"Conquest is made of the ashes of one's enemies." - StarScream

"You can never know everything, and part of what you do know is always wrong. Perhaps even the most important part. A portion of wisdom lies in knowing that. A portion of courage lies on going on anyway."
-al'Lan Mandragoran, p.600 Winters Heart, book nine of the series "The Wheel of Time," by Robert Jordan.

I am a big fan of Kevin Smith. Clearks, Mallrats, Chasing amy, Dogma, Jay and sighlent bob. If you haven't seen these flicks you need to, Check out
http://www.viewaskew.com

Also SLC Punk was a great flick, I was able to Identify with it very much, In Highschool I was an SLC PUNK, pretty much a poser but hey I know what it is like to have to drive 150 miles for beer. And one of my friends drove the girl who played steve-os' girlfriend to the airport, and she gave him the collar she wore in the film as a tip.

South Park bigger longer and uncut holds up to repeated viewing for me, I have watched it at least 50 times

Star wars trilogy- nuff said
Indiana Jones trilogy- nuff said
Lord of the rings

This confusion is my illusion
