'scary' harlequins?
« on: September 22, 2002, 11:33:44 AM »
Aftter watching the nightmare after christmas, i was wondering: what is I made a bunch of 'evil' harlequins. Not 'evil' in the sense of chaos but a much darker brooding look rather than the whole pinks and yellow look. Lots of blue, purple, black and grey with some red mixed in. What do ya think?

No he meant darker color scheme  :)

I know I dont like the checkerd, pink elephant, neon green looking harlies either, I like blue black dark green with a hint of red harlies.

I was also thinking of a more morbid harlequin troupe. I mean in the death and destruction dances they won't wear pink and blue will they?

Dark schemes look good on Harlequin miniatures, but they need some contrasting datails IMHO.
That's why I had my colorscheme derived from pokercards. They have basically black, red and white patterns and logo's on their costumes. I used many shades of these colours in order to let avery Harlequin be an individual, and did not take the main colorscheme to tight, but accidently use some totally different colors.

Stil in progress.

I do my quins with a slightly darker than 'norm' scheme as well... I like sticking a few striking colors in there for contrast, but for the most part I like sinister looks. Sure, we are more foppish than our brethren, but we do still deserve some seriousness...

actually, the best "scary" colors are mimes that are all black, white wristes, boots from the ankle up to the knee, and mask, with black eyes and bluish black blades (thats what mine look like, but i made 'em outta DE parts!)

The scary and morbid parts of the Harlequin Troupe would be the DeathJesters. They also had a weird sense of humor back in RT.

Lost Roads - finally released!
