Excellent. it was just this:
As it is now I will have to cut someone out regardless, but it will probably be a Heretic.
that made me wonder....

Name: Artemis.
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Race: Vampire
Detailed Visual Description: Artemis stands 6 feet and 5 inches tall but walks with a slight crouch at all times bar combat situations making him appear much shorter (about 5' 11") He is constantly shrouded in a long, black cloak that hangs from his shoulders and covers his entire body, it is also loose enough to conceal his stoop. It also incorperates a hood which, when up, clouds his face with shadows. Under this cloak, he wears a suit of light steel armour, made of small, toughened steel "scales" that are designed to slide over one another and prevent restriction. This has been dulled to appear dark and not to glint in the light. Over his armour, he wears regular cloths - a dark tunic and trousers.
His skin is extremely pale and he bears no scars - his vamperic genes aiding the restoritive process of his body, and he appears verry "normal" for a vampire. The only feature that betrays his nature is the pupils of his eyes which are deep red, the colour of spilt lifeblood.

Backstory + personal info: Artemis is famous around his home area for both his bloodline and his skill as a hunter. He is the son of the son of the vampire Assassin who was at Sage's right hand during the events of the Apostary and seems to share his grand-sire's gifts for murder and stealth. Born Jacobus Vhelst, he quickly established a reputation as his home's finest Hunter as he managed to, single handedly, destroy a unit of three Inqiusitors sent to purge his family. For this, he has been bestowed with the name Artemis after the Hunter God of human legend. However, he is an ultimatly solitary creature and so has moved on to new pastures.
Unlike most of his kind, many of his mutations are subtle and unobtrusive, the exception being a pair of large, batlike wings that extend from his back and enable him to fly short distances and to glide for much longer depending on air currents and the height he started at. This is possible due to his odd, hollow bone structure and tall, wirey build. These wings are also retractable and, when retracted, are covered by his armour. However, they are quite strong and are able to carry Artemis and any necessary equipment. They cannot support much extra weight beyond Artemis and his supplies though.
His other mutation is in the mind. He is able to sence the spirits of others, their "Auma" as it is known, and from this, divine their purpose and emotions. He can connect with an untrained mind and use this ability to pass unseen in plain sight. However, many Inquisitors and higher ranking officials possess trained and focused minds meaning this is not guaranteed to work on everyone.

Inventory:

[worn]
- Black, soft-soled shoes
- Black-grey leather trousers
- Dark grey tunic
- Scale Armour (capable of deflecting melee strikes but not as useful when hit by a bullet or fast moving projectile)#
- Long black cloak
- belt including many pockets with:
 - 2 short knives
- 2 vials of poison
 - Needle-pistol (a modified firearm that fires literal needles that, when filled with poison, auto-inject their deadly load into the target's bloodstream)
 - Holster for pistol
 - needle pouch with 200 rounds
 - 2 Throwing knives
 - bag containing the necessary herbs/chemicals to manufacture more poisons and rudimentary explosives
 - Ration pack containing enough food for a week.
 - First-aid kit.

[Carried]
 - Serpent - An ancient Japaneese style Katana who's blade has been modified to be able to retract into the hilt for concealment and ease of carrying. In combat, Artemis is able to channel his Auma through the blade, causing it to burst into flames and making it move with inhuman speed and strength (although this drains him a lot)
 - 4x Vials of Human Blood
 - 3x Minitoru Roots - The Minitoru plant is a great healer, and has been found by Artemis to boost the Auma of a Vampire that consumes it. When eaten, it restores the eater to "full health" and will undo any ill effects caused by Vampire (or other) psy-powers. It is also deadly poison to all Humans who dont possess any Psychic abilitys.
 - Needle-bolt Bow - A compound bow modified to fire larger versions of the "needles" that are fired from his pistol, these larger "Bolts" can be filled with a substance causing them to explode on impact.
 - Quiver containing 100 rounds for the bow, 50 regular arrows, 25 poisoned Needle rounds, and 25 explosive Bolt rounds.

It's all a bit disjointed, but here we go:

Name: Satan Benson Azazel de Boreal (replace 'Satan' with 'Azazel' in the following.
Gender: Male
Age: 31
Race: Vampire
Detailed Visual Description:
Satan is a six-limbed vampire, having two arms, legs, and wings.  Through quirks of vampire physiology not yet known, his wings (spanning about twenty feet) allow Satan to fly with up to twenty pounds of excess weight for a fair few hours.  The wings themselves are leathery like those of a bat and quite fragile.  On the thumb of each wing is a razor sharp claw which can grab small objects in flight.  The wings meet Satan's main body between the spine and shoulder blades.  Satan's torso is oversized, giving his six-and-a-half foot body a squat appearance.  The extra space allows Satan's lungs to breath in large amounts of air with which to power his wings at high altitudes.  This also grants Satan quite a high level of endurance at lower altitudes.

Satan's arms are longer than the average human's would be, allowing him to swoop down on prey while leaving his wings far and away from harm.  Satan's legs are similarly long, preventing any bit of wing from draping on the ground when landed.  His hands are long and clawed, more finger than palm, while his feet follow suit with a bit more connecting tissue between the digits.  His neck is flexible yet short, adding to his odd proportions.  Satan's nose is upturned and flush with his face so that it will not get in the way of feeding.  He has a heightened sense of smell with which to hunt down prey as well as sharp eyes which can view into the ultraviolet and infrared spectra.  Chief among Satan's senses is his hearing which, while not strong enough for echolocation, is more than enough to hear others approaching from a fair distance.  Like many other vampires, Satan's canine teeth are overextended and the rest of his cutting teeth brought to a spike for better penetration.  In addition to his teeth, Satan's mouth conceals a gland which shoots sulfuric acid to a range of ten feet with reasonable aim.  His mouth and face, therefore, are resistant to changes in pH.

Backstory + personal info:
Satan's grandparents were killed in the Second Inquisition long before his time.  His parents, though, gained a strong hatred for the religious establishment to the point that they named their child Satan after the angel who tries the servants of God.  As Satan grew, he learned to hunt for prey in the forests by day and night while hearing of the atrocities the church had committed.  He was taught to read and write alongside the short history of his race.  He was indoctrinated with scripture and malice at once.  Yet, he also learned self control and patience.  Vampires were long lived and of greater fortitude than their human forebearers.  Rather than become a blinded ball of fury Satan's desire for vengeance drove him to learn strategy and tactics, to work effectively towards the downfall of the bloody popes.

As Satan grew he became more susceptible to the effects of the sun's rays while his mutations became more pronounced.  At his present age Satan can stand the sun for about thirty minutes unprotected, or a full day if he wears his sunblock.  This trend has pushed Satan further towards hunting at night when his keen senses give him the strongest advantage.

Inventory:
[worn]
-Blue-Black harlequin cargo pants
-Blue-Black harlequin leather shirt
-Blue-Black harlequin body armor
-Ruby-bladed Black steel claw sheaths (for combat and formal meetings, on hands and feet)

[carried]
-Seven throwing knives
-Two week's worth of iron pills
-Roll of black duck tape
-Blue-Black harlequin bag secured to the shoulders, waist, and groin across the front of the torso, contains many pockets for stuff
-High SPF sunblock

I'll likely give it a once-over before the first to check for horrific failures to write correctly or glaring oversights.

Unsophisticated players might think that the Letter of the rules is more important than the Spirit - but the Letter isn't liable to sneak up behind you with an axe if you abuse it.

So update:

Great job on all of your character sheets, everyone. All of you obviously put thought and effort into designing your character. As such, I could not in good conscious exclude some of you.

Soon I'll post the IC, the OOC is already up, and all of you will be able to form teams and complete objectives as smaller teams rather than all 8(9?) of you.

Happy new year!  8)

Is it possible to participate in this game to some capacity as the Vampiric owner of a club on the outskirts? A trafficker of information and illegal goods, but the club is a haven for the downtrodden and exiled. A character who is not so much powerful in abilities, but slick nonetheless? Perhaps, not so much an active character--- but a support character to add to the crew or the story?

If you'd like, sure. However most characters like that are extremely useful for me to use to drive the plot along. So I'm not sure how it would work.

If you get a character sheet in very soon we can still include you.

Name: Melchior
Gender: Female
Age: 39
Race: Vampire
Detailed Visual Description: Melchior is the name of the woman who contracted a form of the virus that also shattered her mind. She has a crazed look about her and her hair can range from disheveled to beautiful, depending on her mood. Her hair is black with white streaks at the sides and is naturally wavy the longer it gets, however it is kept at length to the shoulderblade. Melchior has a bluish eye color that can sometimes appear gray depending on the lighting and her visage is almost cat-like, feral in a sense. Melchior's ears are slightly pointed. Melchior's clothing differs as well, but thematically she tries to capture strength and boldness that is as varied as her mental states. Melchior's skin is dark gray, rather than pale, as though bitten by frostbite, and her body mass is athletic.

Backstory + personal info:
Melchior was once a girl named Linda Sarskeen, but that name proved irrelevant when the Inquisition began to purge the people. With all that high-tech weaponry, the power of the vampiric race was no match for the tactics of highly-trained people, at least in concerns of Linda's town. With the isolated rural town being sacked and its people slaughtered, Linda and few others were smuggled away. Linda was however kidnapped by some of the Inquisition that hoped to make her an example to the rest of the vampiric population in the region. The more depraved of the unit kept her as a sexual servant for a number of months before making her presence known to the higher-command, in which she was scheduled for public execution.

Before the execution was carried out, Linda was liberated by a Heretic spy, secreted to a safe-house within the city and eventually led out to the outskirts. In the regions nearly outside of the primary Inquisitorial jurisdiction, Linda took on the name of Melchior in a team of misfits known as The Magi. Ransacking Inquisition supplies and trade-caravans, The Magi made themselves one of the scattered bunch of pirates that made life for the resistance both easier through supplies and difficult due to the attention they gathered. It only took a well-armed guard securing one of the supply caravans, to shake the group up as Melchior's two accomplices were killed in action. The death of her allies caused Melchior to retire and retreat to establishing an exclusive, underground club. A fetish club in orientation, Melchior was serious about making sure her patrons were well taken care of as much as being an information broker. Given the security of the club, Melchior had a double-edged reputation with all factions, upholding that she remain neutral to personal action.

Melchior's in-born power is electro-magnetics. Given the nature of being on a planet, Melchior can manifest an electro-magnetic barrier to deflect against physical objects and strongly resist plasma weaponry. Melchior also can control metallic objects. In essence, Melchior is similar in power to Marvel's Magneto. Only that despite her age, Melchior has no such experience as to lifting large landmasses and objects of immense mass. It takes some concentration to lift a tank from the ground, despite all the comfortability of the abundance of electro-magnetic energy around.

    Inventory:
    [worn]
-alligator-skin black leather vest
-red pin-stripe dress-shirt
-micro-steel ablative mesh plating that was designed for Melchior's body. (think of Batman's armor from Batman Begins) [worn underneath clothing]
-haphazardly hanging black leather belt, with double-row steel reinforced hook holes.
-black leather pants
-steel reinforced black military-style boots, augmented with a three-inch steel spiked heel
-various silver and black colored bracelets
-white-gold pentagram necklace

    [carried]
-6 daggers: 1 in each boot (x2). 1 strapped to the outside of each thigh (x2). 1 sheathed at each side of the belt (x2).
-2 wristblades: tucked under the cuffs of the shirt, the mechanism is twisted at the wrist to extend a 8-inch long, 1-inch wide, steel alloy blade.
-4 packets of blood: 2 tucked in long-form pouches in the boot. 2 tucked into the insides of the vest.

Yes, I believe that will fit in quite nicely.

Question: Is your club in Gothica Prime itself? By keeping your vampiric nature discreet and due to the fact that several of your chief patrons are themselves clergyman you could go on unnoticed.

@Khemri. Yes, I'm very aware of this.
Neo: Geez. I always thought you were a guy.
Trinity: Most guys do.

@Seraph. If you feel that it would be appropriate to re-locate the club from the outskirts to Gothica Prime, I wouldn't mind this being the case. I'm sure you could figure out how the club is safe. The benefit of this would be a more active, filled club. Given the new location, this would mean however that vampires would be few in attendance and require that they too be discreet if they choose to come at all. Heretics would be the only viable patrons if it is located in Gothica Prime.
