1000 chapters (done)
« on: June 30, 2004, 12:11:56 PM »
I was just wondering if i'm the only one to have tried to name all the chapters i got as far as 431(including GW ones)

EDIT: Go to page 16 for the latest version of the list. Anyone with M next to it is one I came up with which means its yours if you want it and have fluff to go with it.

You're not supposed to name all the chapters.  That's the point of having soo many.  See, if you aren't giving all the names, you're allowed to make your own (hence DIY chapters).

Kudos on naming 431 though!

Hey! I know!  Let's focus on building army lists, instead of silly custom titles and command structures, yeah?

From the days of the doctorines.
RIP-Goyder, Koonitz, and Jenkins.  Honour them.

Armies:
ORDER: Elysians 2k5, Armored battlegroup 2k5, Infantry Guard 2k, Dark Angles 4k5, Grey Knights 2k
DISORDER: Chaos 3k, Daemons 2k Dark Eldar 2k5, Nids 2k, Orks 2k5
I'm both proud and ashamed of those numbers...

There is a web page with all known chapters on it, let me see if I can dig it up.

Here we are http://www.ironhands.com/chapters.htm.

In addition to these are some you won't find on any site (bar perhaps here):

Marines of The Emperor's Vengeance.

Supernovas.

Dragon Knights.

Conquerors.

The Lost Legion.

Grey Ravens.

Renegades.

Chemeleons.

Was a General of the Imperial Guard, now more of a freelance Captain sort of thing. Ish. Keeping the rank pins though, they look nice.

Cobras Ensanguine

Which I mostly use to explain how my metal-hued Iron Warrior-look alike Space Marines are really Blood Angels. Complete with "dried-blood" brass Death Company and Terminators done in silver-highlighted gold.

Plus they can substitute as Salamanders really well!

Sons of Dawn

No real reason originally, just sounded cool.  Now, fits in with the idea of them bieng an Aztec themed chapter in the fluff I've been developing.

Here's some of my own:

Silvered Scars
The Faceless
Fleshwearers
Body Wrentchers
Drinkers of Silver
Soul Flayers
Bonekeepers
Life Takers
Bloodied Hands

Oh! Do you have the chaos ones? I mean the chapters, not the legions (Violaters, Executioners, Warp Ghosts, The pyre, Children of Purgatos, Sons of Malice, Astral Claws [now the Red Corsairs])

I didn't include any chapter that was involved in the horus heresy, though i did include most of the ones u named there, but that was under the assumption they would have been part of the 1000 at the time

i had bonecollecters but bone keepers sounds better(or should i keep both)

Thanks wargamer, thought  i had steel knights but i didn't so on to the list it goes
