GW example lists
« on: July 15, 2005, 06:39:02 PM »
Well, what do you think of the GW sample Tau lists? I know they stuffed up major with Dark Eldar, I just wanted to know if the Tau list would be at all effective. Sorry I cant post a link, but the two lists are in the Tau section of the Games Workshop site (Australia at least). Well, thank you for any comments.
Some of my favorites:

Build a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day- Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

I lay in bed last night looking up at the stars in the sky, and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling?

It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose

If ther's something you can deffinetely rely on it's gotta be- oh, theres not

I don't know which list you mean. There are the 1000, and 1500 point army lists, but thier is also a 730 point army list. The 1000 and 1500 point lists have gotten bad reviews from people I know, but the 730 point list is ok. In the 730 list there are just things that you would use no matter what in an army, and are somewhat essential.

My main issue with them is the suits - they all have the same boring pose!

Not bad lists, plenty of firepower. But possibly directed and getting plays to buy lots of product - many £10 suits in there.

all games workshop lists suck. they're made for the models that were painted best and fit a certain "theme". very little common sense goes into the lists. example: in a white dwarf, there was a battle report including a space marine devestator squad with a lascannon, rocket launcher, plasma cannon, and a heavy bolter. what a useless squad.
