Only 37 more... what to bicker about... lets go on about how bland and repetitive all the space marines look, compared to the amazing variety and color of the eldar! Here's the first argument:

People play space marines 'cause they think they look cool, but in actuality, they're just bland.

With space marines, there are a lot of conversions that can be done that there aren't with a lot of other armies.

Yeah, theres only so many heroic positions to put a tactical marine in, but ORKS..... now theres conversion potential. Look in the ork codez. It has the most conversions per-page of any codex.

You know, I was REALLY impressed with the Tau Firewarriors sprue.  MUCH better than Eldar Guardians as far as posability and options.  The even had legs set in a kneeling position, awesome when you slap that rifle in their hands!

Even though WHY people play space marines wasn't the topic as I understood it, but the prevelance of Space Marine armies and why that is.  Subtle change, but it also includes GW's attitude twards the varius races and the way they pamper SM players.

True, so subtle, that I doubt Little Timmy has noticed the difference. I sure don't.  

Anyway, orks do have the most customizability, as you can take almost any model and turn it into another one in the army. My friend turned a regular koopa-troopa into a rokkit boy (I think that was it) with a lipstick case and some green stuff. Looked almost exactly like the others...
