My problem with Matt Ward? Blood Talons. Lightning claws that add attacks for every kill? These things can polish off a mob of orks, a combine guard squad, or a tactical squad in ONE TURN. And it's fully possible to field more than 3 of them.

On a psychic dreadnought able to give itself +D3 attacks or prefered enemy that is unbreakable in combat with a front armour that is immune to krak grenades that can also take a power to move like a jetbike. Honestly man the Blood Angels codex was written with all the sanity of a 12 year old girl's fanfiction. 3 of these for the win!

EDIT - so my problems with Matt Ward are in summary, Blood Angels, Daemons Fantasy, and some fiction in Space Marines. Did he write anything good?

You can't have a pair of blood talons on a Librarian dreadnought...

err...pg. 85 of codex states otherwise. (U.S. edit) (Unless I'm mistaken)

But not withstanding, i think my main problem is the fluff. The omgimsouber story is quite irritating....*shrug* oh well, i just presume some people are totally into the heroics and what not, so it's really not enough for me to hold a grudge against him....

P.S. I thought we were supposed to discuss the rules in a different forum >.>

Not that this is the place to discuss rules but..

Page 85: "replace both bloodfists with a pair of blood talons"
"Upgrade to a Furioso Librarian, exchanging all wargear for a bloodfist... ... and force weapon"

So a Furioso Librarian has a blood fist and force weapon (which you exchange all wargear for) and in order to get a pair of blood talons you must exchange 2 bloodfists which it doesn't have...
