Opinions on Flechette Dischargers?
« on: February 15, 2013, 03:44:08 PM »
Hey, folks!

So, I'm putting together a list for a tournament and I'm debating whether or not to take flechette dischargers on my Devilfish. Now, since the start of 6th Edition I've been doing this as a matter of course, but it occurs to me that it has yet to really come up very often that my enemies are assaulting my transports.

Still, given how vulnerable transports *are* to assault and given that it is very likely that they'll be in close proximity to the enemy, they still might be a prudent investment. Even if they only weaken an assaulting squad before destroying the transport, there are decent odds my firewarriors will be able to shoot them up the next turn, which only adds to the likelihood of my little FWs living through the encounter. Then again, 1/8th a Devilfish's cost is a bit steep for an insurance policy.

What are your thoughts? Have Flechettes worked out for you guys, or not?

Remember Sod's law. As soon as you take them off you'll need them.

If you're going to use the Devilfish offensively then take it. However if you need the points elswhere then it's an easy choice.
