I have been playing MP for a while now, and I think it is the GREATEST VIDEO GAME EVER!!! I have beaten the game on easy mode, and collected every item, and have gotten to Ridley on Hard mode. I cannot figure out one thing, though. What is the use of the Flamethrower? The Super and Ice Missiles are very useful when the Power Beam is too wimpy or the Ice Beam too clumsy to be practical. The Wavebuster is also helpful for quick killing on occasion. However, the Flamethrower has no apparent use. Even standard Plasma Beam shots beat it in range, light people on fire, and have an excellent rate of fire. So what does the Flamethrower do, besides waste missiles fast?
