Hmmm...
if the latest incarnation of my Eldar host is fully painted by then, then I may well try and come to that.
I haven't had nearly enough gaming since I moved to Brizzle.

Likelyhood of me actually finishing by then: slim to zero.

Yeah, it would be cool to have you come along. I recall you dropped by the once to sell some epic toys... although the tournament won't be in our regular little hall.

I think you've got the wrong man. I've never been to the vanguard meetings.
But if I'm being mistaken for someone cool then carry on. As you were. :)

Yep , spoke to some of my fellow club members about it . Sound keen . So there's a strong chance Tanelorn will be making an appearance ( 3 so far , and think thats the limit ) .

Actually I just want a chance to see that amphetamine parrakeet brilliantly painted  Necron army again , and this time round hope the Deceiver is finished !
« Last Edit: November 19, 2007, 05:50:14 PM by Evil_Toast »
Models painted 2011 . 2010 in brackets .

Large Infantry : 0 (9)
Bikes/Jetbikes : 3 (0)
Walkers/MC's : 0 (5)
Tanks : 0 (4)
Large Tanks : 0 (0)

Last unit painted : 3 Eldar Jetbikes
Screw it, I give up.

Having checked my messages box indeed I have, sorry. Still welcome to come of course, although you don't need a fully finished army to play it might drop you a few bonus points though!

Awesome! Incidently I think that player is working as a judge for the event so his necrons are along as a fill in army in the event of odd numbers. I'd have to check to be sure though, eitherway I can ask him to bring them!

Can't do it. Won't do it.
Have never fielded an unpainted model in my life and I'm not about to start now.

Can I come and watch if I'm not painted up in time?

I expect so. Also of course you're always welcome down to the normal club nights. Lots of people turn up just to socialise and chat, or play our selection of boardgames (Talisman, zombies and so on!). We tend to attract a slightly more mature crowd than the GW so its normally more relaxing than their gaming nights.

Sounds ideal.
I might well come along.
What are you guys like for smaller points games so I can field what I paint as I paint it?

The 'standard' 40K game is 1500 points but people are generally happy with smaller sized games without a problem. We frequently have people playing combat patrol.

If you use the link in my sig and take the forum option in the left hand menu, drop a message in the arrange a game and someone will problaby answer or even just turn up randomly sometime. We're pretty relaxed mostly.

It's at Henbury school?  You can be pretty sure to see me there, it's al of like 15 minutes away from me.  I did start an Eldar Army especially afterall ...
I carry with me an Inquisitorial Seal. It is a small, unassuming object contained in a neat box of Pluvian obsidian. It is a modest thing. Relatively plain, adorned with a single motif and a simple motto. Yet with this little object I can sign the death warrant of an entire world and consign a billion souls to Oblivion.

Roughly 40 players I think, and you get 6 games of 40K standard GT style 40K which we spice up a little with our secret objectives system. Which is quite fun at throwing a spanner in the works because it gives you a bonus point if you achieve it and some are like "make sure a fast attack unit surives the game" and so on.

I think I'm about the only member of the club whos a regular on 40KO (although I think a few others have accounts). I'm thinking of turning up, I've been meaning to attend one since the first was announced.

I'll possibly come along to both.
*see above about army painted status*

Hopefully will get a couple of squads done this weekend so it's not looking as dire as I previously suspected.
Fairly dire.....but not totally abysmal.

Well if you don't get an army done you could always turn up for Dark Future, one of GW's classic games set in the deep dark future of 1999 (oooooh!) where the USA has turned into a Mad Max wastleland of mad cars and gang violence.

Anyhow hope you finish with the army it would be cool to see a few 40KO'ers turning up.

Juggling with scheduling and hoping to make the 40K online tournament the weekend before in Bracknell...but as I live near Bristol, would like to come to this one as well. I'll check the website out...

I'm hoping to go to 40KO too. Although I suggest you don't leave it until the week before to decide to buy a ticket, already we've shifted some with three full months left to go.

Excellent. Are you going up the night before and crashing somewhere or are you going up on the day?

Going out drinking with all the 40KOers does sound entertainting but just crusing an hour up the motorway and back on the day is likely to save much more money, which is also sort of important.

Ah this sounds cool Al, I may well have to attend this. Henbury school is easy enough for me to get to aswell so that's groovy.

Dizz, I didn't realise you were another local lad. You ever appear at GW in Cribbs...?
