That inside is looking pretty darn spiffy. I can't wait to see what the exterior detail will look like, I doubt it'll be anything short of win.

What is that material you used for the floor interior (looks kinda like diamond plate)?

It's a plastic checker plate which I bought in our local modeling shop. If you don't have a modeling shop in town then you should be able to get some on ebay.

Thanks a lot, I have been looking for a suitable starship-hull-esque surface for my Novamarines' bases and that looks like it'll fit the bill. Keep on working, its taking shape nicely.

wow... WOW.

All I can say.  What you've done to the interior is incredible... I can't wait to see the entire thing when done!

Wait a second.  If you are looking for small quantities you might as well get some packing straps.

Many of these have a structured surface that would fit the theme as well.

Just have a look at your supermarket or toolstore and ask them politely if you can have some. I bet you will get more than you will ever be able to use. And best of all, you won't have to pay a cent for it.  ;)

Very, very nice mate.

I'm musing about restarting my project in this area *scaled down from the 1.5m behemoth I originally planned...* keep going forwrd with this comrade ;)
Its an even stranger day when you have a fat Games Workshop-Fanboy Ninja declare to end you for something you did for April Fools on Teh Interwebz.

It's a strange day in the world where I find myself agreeing more often than not with Swiper.  :D

Howdy Swiper,

thanks for the kind words.

I still remember your project. What is the current status if I may ask?

Wow... as simple as that. Sometimes I wish I had the time-resources and skill to pull a project like this off!

OK, I've been lurking in here a while now; and I finally decided to comment.

1... The Hull is Great overall; but the top section could have the bulkheads re-done to allow for second teir option later on (seriously, it wouldn't be that much work compared to what you have done already).

2... I love the inside detail work... well done all around.

3... Magnetic Ramp is a great idea, and hinges are the way to go...

4... Did I see a Plastic Card Tank or two inside there for size reference.. If so, then good for you... as GW does not need to sell any more tanks. LoL

5... Is this thing ever going to get done... started last year, and even at my speed, thats slow... Oh and when do you think that you will unleash it on the Locals ? seriously... get it done, the look on their faces will be worth it.

Overall... Awesome, and I don't even like IG...

I'm a bit hesitant about the top. That's a reason why the work on the bulkhead is so slow. I would like to rework it in a way the Tau Manta was done.

I'll give it some thought.

It's mixed. The LR and the Chimeras are GW products, the salamanders are scratchbuilt. The is a salamander thread in the project board.

I get easily distracted. Just look at the conversion and painting competitions. ;D

Seriously, I will restart the work once the competitions are over.

as you say you can fit four tanks....i wouldn't try.

that would be a tight squeeze.

tighter than an imperial planetary governors daughter on emperor's day.

Hmm just found this thread, good work tyrant.

As for the name have you considered the destrier.  Dan abnett describes it as being roughly three times the size of a valkyrie and used for the transport of munitions etc (See only in death)

Very good work, would like to see it finished

Yeah no kidding on just finding this one. I am floored.

It fits my plans to build some vehicular unit sof wood as well, but to that scale is amazing.

I look forward to seeing the finished build and eventual paint scheme.

Cheers
